The T24 fits easily. Here is the tutorial on how to build one. I made this tutorial a few years ago. I made several motors few years ago and they still work in the 2019 model Hobie Kayaks. ua-cam.com/video/xHjteqNflS4/v-deo.html
Is there a way to mod the Minn Kota 40 housing to make it narrower and able to fit into the Compass MirageDrive well? Also what do you use to right the prop before removing the Watersnake?
The Minn Kota motor has an aluminum body so can't be modified. However, I sold the MK and now use the 24lb watersnake which fits easily, is lighter, uses less power and still pushes along at 7kph. I use the fish ruler to push the prop vertical.
minkota motors can not go 7 km/h ! they are not designed for that speed. thats what minkota support team says. they say top speed is 5.5km/h no matter what size motor you test
Its a 50 amp hr and ran for about 2.5 hrs
Can you post a link to the video of how you built this please....can't find it on your channel for some reason

Was the 5km/h on the Outback with the Watersnake or the Minn Kota?
Watersnake 24lb did 5kph and Minn Kota 40lb did 7kph on the Outback
with the 24t, how was it trying to fit it in that tight well...?
Just watched your build....thanks

Has the top speed gone down since you first made this video?
It's not a brushless motor is it?
No change in speed. Still going great.
my bro how long the hobie fish bag holding the ice ?
That bag is designed to fit the front area of the Compass perfectly. Not sure of measurements.
How long will it run if you run continuously on high speed and how many amp hour is your battery?
Hi, its a 50 amp hour Lithium which weighs 8kg. Runs for about 2.5 hrs
WTH 50 amp hour batt! May I ask the maker and the price of that beast?
The brand is Fusion and in Australia it costs $650.
Michael Packer I made a Hobie motor tutorial. Links to supplies are in video description of this video 👉 ua-cam.com/video/xHjteqNflS4/v-deo.html

Depends what its attached to. They might have it fitted to a small boat while i was in a slim light kayak .
Top speed 5 miles hour for minn kota. Not km. 1 mile = 1.6 km
