Something I discovered while trying this tactic:
Land on storm edge like normal but try and get a duo so you can share chugs and medkits, try to go to gas stations or poi’s (only if they are in storm) and vending machines can give patch ups and heals at certain times
GAINED 40% from one round because of this
does getting storm damage and healing effect your rank?
also, what rank were you when you gained 40%?
Was like silver
Yes healing and more damage probably results in higher amounts of levels gained

Damn it works! I used this strategy as Gold 3 ranked (zero build).
I do however play offensively once i reach survivor 3, and there's only 10 players left.
I finished #8 and got +32%
Sneaking up and getting a couple of hits in, I end up with a positive DeltaD (damage difference), as in, I dealt more damage than I took.
they cannot stop this man but now i always check that edge of the storm for guys like you 😂 but im zero build strictly

You can bring that -10 to a positive with just a few hits on someone. Slight aggression with a bushcamp strat would be incredible. I tried one very campy game and got from silver three to gold 1 in a single game.
