After looking through the cff forum, I saw a suggestion to reduce the cornering forces was to adjust/lower the (angle_d_l (* angle_d_l 2.40)) (angle_d_r (* angle_d_r 2.40)) values. I will explore this to see if it fixes the specific issue of not feeling the loss of front end grip during understeer.
Will give this file a try . Have tried previous files from Daniel and agree they are far better for consistent lapping and times. The only downside for me is that previously i could never get the force to drop off when the front loses grip in an under steer situation ( im using a simplicity sw20v3 ) and because of that lack of detail i stopped using them . Here's hoping this one resolves that . Good video by the way .
Agree regarding the constant force on understeer. It’s the one thing that is still present for me even when increasing the static force reduction in true drive. Thanks for your feedback and experience with custom ffb!
@@andyw0340 it might be worth me asking if there is anything Daniel suggests aside from increasing static force reduction to help bring back front end grip loss. File is really good otherwise!
first thing to look at is (slide_factor 0.8) higher value of 0.9 is original value , Higher means earlier point of slip feelings . it is like a threshold for edge of grip .
I’ve followed the game since the start, it’s really improved over time, and Reiza seems dedicated to further improvements. The Karts are not fun for me either. Thanks for the comment!

You definitely deserve some more views and 👍 on this video, Kevin.
Great job man, thanks.
I really appreciate that! I’m glad at least you found the video and enjoyed it! 😄 Thanks for stopping by!

@@kevin_m That's a real shame, would be perfect if only you could feel the grip loss from the fronts .
Oh well, will keep looking.

@@kevin_m Yes I have on previous versions but it's the way he likes it so fair enough.

Oh thanks for that info! There are a lot of values in that file you could tweak and probably mess up if you go the wrong direction with any of them.
Yes, it's far better than default. So much of this still game feels like a beta, and parts of it, like Superkarts, still doesn't work at all.
