CAA contradicts the Assam accord. So CAA is not acceptable. Very fruitful , mature and transparent discussion. We had IMDT also but never found such a mature discussion about it. Any new law that contradicts an existing law in force is said to be ultra vires.
@@NibaranNath-bx4ee Assam Accord came into existance in 1983/84 but CAA was discussed just after Independence (in both the situations the agreement/s didn't turn into Acts).
Now as per ur logic CAA gets precedence over Assam accord 🙏

For Assam CAA is very dangerous.
See, every state has their own respective language (as majority). E.g. Punjabi for Punjab, Bengali for W.B., Marathi for Maharashtra, Gujarati for Gujarat etc etc.
But Assam's assamese is declining and now it's not majority also. Now, due to CAA , percentage of Assamese population will further decline. And now we will be minority in our own state. Now in order to save a religion we have to sacrifice our language and identity.
And moreover, if CAA is harmful for other NE states then why Assam is not exempted? We are not a developed state like Gujarat or Maharashtra, so further population will create disaster for the state.
I hope those who don't understand the logic behind CAA protest in Assam will now understand after reading this comment.
