- Die Orgel von Gottfried Heinrich Gloger in Kongsberg ist das größte und wichtigste Opus des norddeutschen Orgelbauers, der in Norwegen wirkte. Trotz widriger Umstände konnte das Instrument die Zeit überdauern und nach der Restaurierung durch Jürgen Ahrend im Jahr 2001 ist sie ein bedeutendes Zeugnis barocken Orgelbaus. Organisten von nah und fern schätzen sie für ihren authentischen Charakter.
Die Musik von Dietrich Buxtehude, der schon über 50 Jahre vor Errichtung der Gloger-Orgel verstorben war, lässt sich auf den vier Werken klangreich darstellen. Buxtehudes Präludien bieten stets die Möglichkeit, die Klangfarben der jeweiligen Orgeln zu präsentieren. Buxtehudes hier gespieltes Werk ist ein typisches Beispiel für den stylus phantasticus im 17. Jahrhundert. Aus dem freien toccatischen Beginn entwickelt sich thematisch das Ostinato des Pedals und auch das anschließende Fugenthema. Diese erste Fuge mündet in ein instrumentales Rezitativ an das sich wiederum ein toccatischer freier Teil anschließt, der von der führenden Bassstimme aus gedacht wird. Die folgende zweite Fuge geht wiederum auf das Urthema zurück, jedoch variiert. Sie endet mit kaum merklichem Übergang wiederum in einer Toccaten-Passage, aus der das thematische Grundmaterial herausklingt. Mit einer freien rezitativischen Schlusswendung endet das Stück. (jb).

To those that complain this as "too slow", please bear in mind a few things: this is a mechanical organ, coupling the keyboards and pulling out more stops causes increasing difficulty in pressing the keys, this can also hurt the player's hands and/or damage the instrument if played too recklessly. Second: the reverberation due to echo would cause the organ to sound like an absolute cacophony if played too fast, madam Haag keeps this well in mind. Lastly, the style phantasticus, although flashy is required to be played in a cantabile/singeable styled as favored by JS Bach and other baroque masters. Are there flashier/faster, and better played versions of this piece? Undoubtedly, but the clarity, mastery and most importantly, beautiful respect presented in this version cannot be denied.
I but she doesn’t have anything coupled or we would see keys moving on another manual, unless of course she coupled the manual she is playing to the pedal.

Wunderbare Tempi! Eine Orgel ist nun mal kein Perkussionsinstrument, sondern eine Sängerin! Mirjam, du bringst die Orgel wunderschön zum Singen. Und das spricht auch aus deinem Lächeln. Man mag fast an ein Gesamtkunstwerk denken... Na, gut, Buxtehude hat auch einen Anteil dran!😊

She's young, at least give her a chance! That is a difficult piece to play.
It is not in the least difficult to play ! You clearly cannot play yourself or you would know.
