- You can learn how to Crochet a Dog and Cat Magnet and Applique in this tutorial video. Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. The dog and cat (or puppy and kitten) are cute and easy to make. They work great to hold up your notes on the door or refrigerator. I'm using worsted weight yarn and a size F 3.75 mm crochet hook.

Either cotton or acrylic will work just fine (as would wool). I'd say go with whatever you have in the yarn stash already.
