Visiting Downtown Fredericksburg, Texas (main street nighlife)

Fredericksburg is a small town of about 10,000 people. It's located deep in the Texas Hill Country, 80 miles west of Austin and 70 miles northwest of San Antonio. It's a popular area for tourists to shop and walk around and eat and drink. The town is noted for its strong German heritage and history, similar to some other small towns in the Texas Hill Country like New Braunfels. There's a nice downtown strip in Fredericksburg with possibly the highest density of music venues among small towns across Texas. Just this little strip includes at least 16 different places that feature live music, including Hondo's on Main, Mac's BBQ and Catering, Pioneer, Silver Creek Beer Garden and Grille, Cultures, The Auslander, Hidden Hideaway on Main, Becker Vineyards, 78624 the Bar, Sozial Haus, Hitchin Post Steakhouse, Fat Ass Ranch an Winery, Fiesta Winery, Altdorf Biergarten, Crossroads Saloon and Steakhouse and Western Edge.
