They perfectly blended horrorcore with real gang music and in my view it couldn’t have been done without all of them. These guys arent sell outs, they’re not Hollywood types in their hearts. Also the music was just too real. It’s not palatable to a mainstream audience. It did what it did and it was what it was intended to be for what it was. In my opinion it wasnt crossover type of music that could reach into that mainstream arena. And frankly that’s a major part of its allure. We were bumping this music that we knew wasn’t fake rap Hollywood stuff. From my era in the 90’s we wanted the real thing and you can just sense it’s the genuine article with Sacramento rap. There was other real music out there but no one had the talent that siccmade had Lynch, Beta, Loki, First degree, and Raided are the most talented from their peers.
