- I decided to cut down a stream where I do a full run from starting on the twilight strand all the way to killing lycia. This is meant to be a bit of a practice/guide for those wanted more information on how to level this character. This is the first time trying to upload a full run to youtube so there are definitely things I want improve on going forward if I do this again in the future. Hopefully you guys appreciate this as additional resource to use for your own practice /preparation for the league start.

@@VIISsellastaprobably can't, took me multiple hours to download, then multiple hours to render, then multiple hours to upload. not like personally costing me time but took my pc forever to do each of these steps and I realize this was bricked after I already deleted the files(normally something I don't do but I for some reason decided to clear out all my old videos I had saved including the most recently downloaded twitch vod for this)
appreciate these kinds of videos dude! not seeing other creators doing this kind of prep for a char build before season start.

Man j just got davinci but it has a learning curve. Seeing you use it will renew my resolve. I'll boot up some tutorials.. tomorrow. (Editing is so much more tiring than actually making the builds or content. :()

Quick question! I love the leveling guide and I want to use it to level my Heirophant mana stacker. For this would you recommend sticking with Leap Slam Axe/Sword even without battlemage or swapping to Sceptres/Axe or Sword in Act 3 to try and get more flat to spells? Or just drop Leap Slam all together in Act 3/4?

I know you have mentioned in a couple videos about your plans for sanctum and generically how you would map with the build by taking less damage and more defensive in the tree. any chance you could add a ballpark tree about how you would spec that in the POB?
Sooo, i'm a little confused, is the plan to start templar, then go with this armageddon brand/cremation setup through the campaign? or tornado /void sphere of rending (in the pob)? What's contingent on getting transfigured gems like the new tornado and what's just gonna be something you farm up the currency for and forcefully employ when you've got the wealth to buy it? Armageddon/cremation looks like an S tier backup plan if that's even what it is. I'm just curious if the tornado was scrapped now that you're planning to do hexblast toward the endgame. Penny for your thoughts.
Glad you are doing stuff like this, but with it being a leveling fast video I feel like we, the audience, as missing a lot of nuance behind decisions. For example, what stats are you looking for in your early sword and axe. If you covered this, it was so fast that I was not able to catch it.
Hi Cap - is this build no go without lockstep on? My latency doesnt allow lockstep as its already in 70’s in predictive and doubles in lockstep
that is exactly the reason why the new league ll provide u a mirror of kalandra real fast so u can check that real quick next time

How important is sanctum area level rewards-wise? Obviously the first few days you run what you can get your hands on, but after that do you aim to run high enough in hopes of reveal relics?
from my experience I believe divines appear at a similarish rate whether white map level sanctum or red, but the reward amounts for chaos and everything else scales, example final reward chaos in white map = 6c, yellow =10c, red = 14c roughly, and this is proportional for most other currencies.
what bases do you want for leap slam? You mention one being better then another but don't explain. Also I'm assuming you can't have any links other then leap slam in your weapons?
He has so much success with arcane brand last league. Did it get nerfed or something?

Do you recommend a Sanctum guide.
There are plenty of 20-40min guides out there but i have no clue which one is really good for a bloody sanctum beginner.
watching a guide initially is a good idea but ultimately I think the best way to learn is some hand on experience, I would take a decent character you have in standard or in league and do some test runs to get a feel for afflictions/rooms
also, don't get discouraged if your first couple runs go sideways, chalk it up to a learning experience and remember it's BASED on a roguelite genre...if you know about them, you start weak, are INTENDED to fail runs, then...slowly you gain permanant power (relics) and experience layouts, understanding of fights...and before you know it, you'll be killing lycia pretty much every run without some catastrophe (or your own personal greed sometimes) getting in the way.

This is a great video, but can you please put your gems layout in certain points in writing or in the pob? It would make it MUCH easier to follow and used as a leveling guide. you did it with tha passive tree, but not with the gems, and it's a pitty
Hey, can anyone tell me what battlemage do that impact leveling? i thought i just keep to use that crafted flat fire to spell axe and swords throughout the campaign. Appreciate any help!

Most folks I know that watch long for videos don't really "watch" them. So don't worry about the humming and such, these id's are often background sound while playing Poe.

close... lets just say the 1280 by 1080 and 1920 by 1080 option are just a few pixels apart in the render option of resolve O.o first time for everything kinda sucks I did on such a long upload and not too feasible for me time wise to redo.
Ill be honest, there are parts of this video that leave me confused when looking at the PoB. Non of the leveling links really line up, and if they do then you do it in the video so fast that it is borderline impossible to follow.

actually doesn't work. It's so bad that I found that out after 15h from the league start. Impossible to finish the first sanctum. I've no tomes and no currency to buy new ones. Build is not a league starter

Hello Lance, is the flask that puts you on 1 hp but makes chaos damage not bypass es realy mandatory if you are switching to ivory tower?
I'm not Lance, but ivory tower makes the chaos damage go your mana, if you reserve most of your mana the damage left will still go into your hp. Same thing once you use blood magic, no mana, ivory tower won't do anything against chaos damage.
yes it is mandatory to have coruscating + balbala to sustain the flask once you swap to reserving the life pool.
@@CaptainLance9 I'm also wondering what gear upgrades should i seek? Once im getting currency from sanctums. Since Coruscating elixir, with ivory tower is a bit cancer in sanctum... Due to having to activate it all the time...

why axe and sword, why not replace one with a sceptre that can roll ele dmg spell dmg etc?
I don't remember if I saw in any other of you videos but, how we transition this to maps (for those who enjoy both sanctum and mapping/bossing)
Personally I plan to farm sanctum till I can afford ivory tower gearing at which point the build performs much better defensively not being forced into awkward gearing like kaom's roots to fix stun issue ghostwrife creates. Ultimately I am planning to upload progress updates as well as stream all my gameplay so if you want to follow my progression in terms of what setup i go for to go into hard maps you can watch that, currently i plan on going sanctum -> farm solid gear -> valdo maps -> on second character do regular mapping.
Drop some damage nodes for tank once, like Spiritual Command or precision. That would be my choice.
will there even be sanctum books that early and even if there will be some, isnt there more people wanting to run sanctum then books available?
Yes that is also my main question. How "easy" it is to acquire and sustain Sanctum, especially if you don't complete the first ones for any reason ?
yeah there will be a supply of books, they are dirt cheap too on leaguestart so once u complete the free sanctum u will snowball

no I accidentally selected the wrong render option and didn't realize till the upload finished, it took forever for my pc to render/upload I don't want to redo it. I would have redone it on a smaller upload but just too costly timewise with other things I am trying to prep for the new league
How much single target do you want for early sanctums?
Depends on experience level and how mobile/easy it is for various builds to do damage while being able to dodge/attack from range. I'd say if you know what you are doing fairly well at the bare minimum 200kdps is kinda pushing into the you need to get lucky on boons territory

All these changes to endgame and people still want to sit in sanctum until the can make the game trivial through currency
I made a bet against fubgun to see who can make the most currency in 1 week, ultimately sanctum I plan to only run for roughly around 5 hours at which point I should have plenty of currency for another setup I plan to go straight into endgame bossing. Trying this to challenge myself to see what I can do and beat the MF enjoyer at his own game hopefully

4:26:40 no shot on real league u will have currency to buy all of those items:D I never have more than 1c with my rng when I get to maps:D and the amount of people that ignore 1c trade even day 1 is crazy, I once took 15m to buy one quill rain 6hrs into league, I went through like 25 people
You can always run some quick heists for chaos to afford those items my dude.
he already did a few heist contracts to get some chaos
on leaguestart use livesearch to avoid pinging people who already sold items, saves a ton of time. I personally will be doing some live searches on and off as I level in order to pick up better roll items for faster trades. 7 minutes is a fairly long time and I think its decently accurate on about how much time it will cost me on leaguestart, but regardless it doesn't matter in the end as the main point of video was to showcase what gear to aim for and how it performs on the early sanctum as its the goal of the character :D
