small note on the sceptre crafting part, this is good for SSF. But for trade league, it's way better to get a T1 cast speed fracture, t1 cast speed has a weight of 250, while t1 spell crit has 1000. it's waaaay easier to get t1 spell crit.
the affliction mechanic as-is would end up having the same issue as the loot goblins back when they implemented archnemesis: it would feel like you are wasting it if you didnt juice, or have mf gear for it. but man i love the sack and wish we could get something like that permanently.
I somewhat disagree. The joy of affliction is how much it incentivises building a strong character - if anything it's less reliant on MF gear than any other source of global drop items to feel good.

You don't need all that defense in a mode where you can't die, your run just ends. It takes a good bit of time for you to kill things and the longer they are alive the more chance to lose resolve and your run to fail.
My undeveloped brain cant get 6k+ wisps consistenly, so i preferred farm maven writs and harvest juice with killing elder guardians, even after trying mf with hh i dont bother anymore, my rng its shit

I think Affliction should be an option for SSF or private leagues but it's just too crazy for normal leagues.

They are MFing t7s so can't drop sextants, and are playing HC so presumably dont want to risk moving up to t4/t16s.
