Makes such a big difference to use separate presets especially in worship music context where everything is smeared with reverbs and delays. Thanks for the tip to dial in each effect individually.
I’ve just been running one XLR into the mixer at rehearsals lmao, actually putting my fm9 into mono/making a few mono versions of presets is probs a better idea tbh.
Have been considering what it would take to play stereo in ears, God mode, and adding mono to the mains and to the rest of the band who expect mono that they can shove left or right in their own mixes.
I run a traditional stereo setup that goes to a livestream board at our church. However for the main sanctuary, they somehow convert it to mono but it still sounds great. I don’t notice any phasing issues.
Thanks Leon. It’s a great review of the feature. There is another problem if you have 2 separate presets. You have to do changes in 2 presets. And if you use more than one preset originally, then you have to change it even more :)
@@garffild At first you save a block, let's say an amp, to one of the global block spaces, I believe there's 8 of those for each type of block if I remember correctly. Then you go to a different preset and link the amp in there to the same space you saved it previously. Now those are linked and the changes apply to all the presets where you have the link. Just remember to save before you change the preset :)
And if I need to send a signal back to the amplifier, how appropriate is it to send a shunt after the cab to a real amplifier with its real cab ? I noticed that the sound is getting shit(( On UA-cam they also say to collect a preset in edith where the chain goes to the cab, but the sound also doesn't turn out as cool as after the cab
I still have the mighty AX8 and wouldn't change it for a thing. I also play stereo, I'm the only guitar in the band and I want to sound a bit "spread" and cover the sides instead of everything being center. Therefore I use the "enhance" block at the end of my chain for that "pseudo two guitar thing". I know you know AX8 inside out. You mind sharing some thought? Any alternatives maybe? Thanks man

One is to run both of the xlr outs to the mixer (have them hard panned left and right) but ALSO change the global setting to stereo? Thanks. Hey Leon - let me get this right. So you leave the Audio Output Config in Stereo regardless of your preset being Stereo or Mono? I'm assuming that you're running Output Left only to the PA when using a Mono preset, not L/R out correct?
Leon I see you don't use the Enhancer block for stereo, why? Doesn't this block work optimally? It'd be nice if you recorded a video in which you explain Enhancer :)

Enhancer is great - I personally prefer the stereo detune thing for the same effect
Is there an advantage when creating presets in mono to put the stereo spread on effects to 0% vs leaving at the default setting it is at?

I prefer dual detune, but happy to cover the enhancer!
stereo -- blends better with other instruments and doesn't step on them as much.
