The most iconic ending of any movie in the history of cinema.

Yeah & hes not the fastest but he's the most accurate out of the three of them!!! Blonde is the most accurate at long range , Angel Eyes is the fastest at close range but least accurate out of the three of them (hence why he moved closer to Blonde during this scene) & Tuco is the most accurate at close range (hence why he takes all the heads off the wooden targets at the shooting range) if u look at Angel Eyes right before he tries to pull his gun out & fire , his eyes are actually focused in Tacos direction not Blondes direction!!!!
All three of them have strengths & weaknesses as shown through out the entire film & that's why it's called The Good The Bad & The Ugly ❤

    It's not $200k in 1966 dollars, it's $200k in _1862_ dollars. That would be like $6.5M today.

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly 1966 is one of the GOATs of movies. You owe it to yourself to watch its entirety.
Look I'm no boomer - I don't even like Westerns. After watching this movie, one of my most favourite movies got kicked off the podium

$200,000 would be worth roughly $5 million in today's dollars .... give or take a million. Either way, no small change.

If this movie was set in 1862, then $200,000 at that time would be the equivalent of $6.2 million in 2024. For that amount of money, I wouldn't have trusted Tuco and Angel Eyes either.

This is the same location of the final duel between Cnl. Mortimer and El Indio in A Few Dollars More.

Movie Trivia. The LAST MAJOR black and white movie made was in 1964 by United Artists called THE TRAIN. There have been several Genre type black and white movies made since Raging Bull ,Young Frankenstein but those were made without the benefits of the filters lights film and makeup of the black and white artists. But by 1966 there were no black and white movies by major motion picture studios left being made.

Did you watch the whole movie, or the scene? Cuz you don't get the subtext til you see the whole movie.. Tuco gives that lil half smile because Angel Eyes tortured him earlier in the movie. Angel Eyes has screwed both of them. He's on the losing end. Tuco is fast but dumb. Blondie is super smart and super fast. We haven't seen Angel Eyes shoot in a duel. It's, ostensibly, a mind puzzle.
