Queensrÿche is such an amazing band. Geoff Tate is easily one of the best vocalists of all time. Chris Degarmo is phenomenal as a lead guitar player/songwriter. From their beginning as a prog-ish metal band, finding their niché, to the amazing tech/prog/mainstream/hard edge rock band that they became. You need to listen to the live in Tokyo 84’ “Take Hold of the Flame”, you may blow a gasket. It shows that band on a level that few bands can match.

This is Slim Whitman in the 1950’s covering a song from a movie in the 1930s called ROSE MARIE by Nelson Eddy. It was about a Canadian Monte who was “calling” to his sweetheart (Jeanette McDonald) across the valley! A great team! Saw this movie in Hollywood in 1966

Do you really want Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Kid Rock and whoever all on stage together making you listen to a garbage song and telling you what cause you should donate to? That's what "We Are The World" was.

Some other John Denver folk/rock/bluegrass songs you will vibe to: "Matthew", "Rocky Mountain High", "Summer", "Annie's Song", "This Old Guitar", "Leavin' On a Jet Plane", "The Eagle and the Hawk", "Starwood in Aspen." For other great artists of this period, try Simon & Garfunkel, Carole King, Dan Fogelberg, Jim Croce, the Mamas and the Papas, The Carpenters, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland.

You could listen to every song on the album, Honkey Chateau. More than no autotune, the songs were written and recorded live in the studio, with the band creating their own 'parts' as a more or less jam session. The backing vocals the band arranged and recorded themselves, and their parts in the songs they created with zero input from Elton or anyone else. They hit their stride with 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road'. They wrote and recorded a double-album, consisting of 22 songs, in two weeks (including overdubs, backing vocals, everything).

The band doesn't get enough credit. Nigel Olsson on drums/vocals, Dee Murray on bass/vocals, and Davey Johnstone on guitars/vocals. The 'choir' is the band.

The Moody Blues have been around since the 60's. Justin Hayward is the lead singer and he wrote this song when he was 19! This performance is from the Royal Albert Hall in May 2000. Justin's about 53 in this performance and his voice is still amazing. the Moody Blues are known for using orchestras in many of their songs. This song is from the "Days of Futures Past" which is a concept album. Each song representing a different time of day and each song leads into the next. It's just beautiful. There's a beautiful poem about the night that's normally recited at the end of this song that is missing from this performance but is on the album and the single studio version. Thank you for appreciating this beautiful music.

John Denver has always been one of my favorite singer/songwriters. He has so many masterpieces and this is one of my favorites. It's not one of his bigger hits but it has such a beautiful message. "Rocky Mountain High", "Annie's Song", "Country Roads" - actually became the state song of West Virginia! There's also "It's Good to Be Back Home Again", Calypso (the ship belonging to Jacques Cousteau the French Oceanographer) and it just goes on and on.
