- We start our first mini bike build at the new CarsandCameras headquarters! Go Power Sports sent us a TrailMaster MB-200 mini bike to build for the upcoming Gambler 500 100 mile endurance mini bike race coming up in May. Today, we put the MB200 together stock, and take it for a rip around the land, and set some baseline lap times for the new CarsandCameras Grand Prix!

have a question guys. i bought a yerfdog spiderbox like yoir other episode aswell as a 212 predator, wpuld it be worth swaping the gy6 with the 212?
Got mine up to 43 mph with the Gopowersports stage 1 kit with the governor on it still . Biggest improvement from the stage 1 kit was acceleration it’s an awesome Minibike 🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻

You should get a yard tractor with a rototiller, makes nice trails if you run it multiple times

I've got one of these. Best mini bike on the market in my opinion. Durable as hell.
Top Tip: Align the angle of the handlebars with the angle of the front forks to avoid weird handlebar influenced steering.
Hope the 500 and Cars & Cameras meets don't end up getting cancelled.

I had the Mega Moto 212 Pro totally stock with the throttle screw turned out, it topped at 44mph on flat pavement and i am 230lbs.
I would continue being conservative in the first part of the race to let the racers break there bikes then slowly get more aggressive

No I’m not good 10 years ago lol well your in a different class then them. Most of there competition is homemade mini bikes. Sooo there not reliable and rugged as a dirt bike.
Brandon'svlog home made mini bikes aren’t just gonna break their much more reliable then dirt bikes actually dirt bikes are very easy to stall and if you crash break easily

This week I bought a Trail Master MB200-2 from 166 Power Sports AKA Pioneer Power Sports. They advertise $899.00 and then at checkout they surprise the customer with a hefty assembly fee of around $200.00. This was true as of April 2021. Just FYI.
Go Power Sports does not do this. They advertise at $995.00, I think, and that is the price; plus tax of course. I would have purchased from GPS but they will not have them back in stock for a few weeks.

I see many people here comment that they can buy a 250 Chinese trail bike for $1200 and get a better bang for their buck. The whole idea is that TM mb200 are mini-bikes. They are 4 stroke and evolved from the Cushman Scooters post WWII and then the late 60’s Revolutionary a-head-of -its-time Heathkit Boonie Bikes. If you want a 2 cycle Chinese trail bike, that’s a motorcycle, a different genre or category. It’s like comparing traditional Go Karts to Shifter Karts or an off road Buggy. I like Go Karts and Mini-Bikes. That’s why I’m here watching this video.
This is really cool to see. Been trying to decide whether to get this or a Coleman bike for this summer.
I've been kicking around the same ides for a while. Though the Coleman is cheaper but they don't offer rear suspension and don't believe they have hydraulic disc brakes either. Definitely been leaning towards the MB200 even at the higher cost. Just my thinking on it.

These bikes need more gearing from the factory.
A 50 or 60 tooth sprocket not a 42
If you're talking stock engine still goverened, yeah a 60t is the way to go. Stage 3 with a 22mm Mikuni and jugernaut driver? 42t would be perfect. Stock is a 46t.
The mini bike is kinda pricey .... But goes a lot faster than advertised.....

I would like to present some challenges for ya to improve my viewing of cars&cameras. Map out, mow and paint edge lines for Grand Prix. Establish start/finish line, halfway point and signage/posters of sponsors along track. Possibly include timer on screen so we can view it in real time. Length of track also listed either eighth of mike, quarter mile, half and so on ya know. Something to think bout...
If those were legal in the UK, I'd ride about everywhere on one... :D

@@theejabroni Yeah, could make them legal by adding brake & indicator lights (and probably a few other things to pass an SVA test), but our glorious leaders deem them to be too much fun, so won't even let them in the country for sale, even the older fixed-frame Baja minibikes are as rare as hens teeth...
I don’t think they are illegal? They are not road legal. But you should be able to drive them on private property just like they are doing in the video. And there are similar bikes that are road legal like the Sky Team Gorilla(Chinese Honda Monkey clone).

Congrats on the purchase guys! You should include a birds eye view of the whole course when the time is right, maybe name a few corners/straits/features(jumps!?) top gear style. Looking forward to seeing all sorts of stuff run it.

Interesting bike, great property for Cars & Cameras. The place must have been a hobby farm or maybe it was a small cattle farm.
Put a 2stoke dirt bike engine in it like a 125cc or something with a transmission
200cc+ 2stroke. The Power !!!
That kind of transmission is not allowed in the race they are entering.
You should move your feet back on the footpegs. The way you sit now you definitely risk breaking your feet if you hit a stump or something.
About 1/3 or 1/4 of your foot should be behind the footpeg.
Proper gloves and other gear could also save you some pain.

The guy at the store I got it from said take it easy for the first 11 miles to break it in just don't go nuts when you first buy it guys work it for a bit, it will run better and faster

Since this is the bike for the race why not look at last years video. Figuring out what went well and what you might to change. Do you need better guarding, maybe extra chains, air filters tire repair kits. What tools should you carry. Personal protection and braces for wrists, knees, back and neck, goggles or face shield.

For 1200 you can get a name brand 125 2 smoker
Use a funnel when pouring gas...no spillage keeps the bike and floor in newer condition. Good vid though.
