    All the food looked amazing! Han estoy love Christmas time just because of the food the comfort it brings!
    The atole my familia usually makes is more of a liquid consistency, where we use less of the harina so it won’t be as think! But I’m glad you enjoyed it! And as always love your videos 💕

    Atole (and every single other pre-colonial latin American food) traditionally doesn't contain dairy and typically has spices such cocao, cinnamon, chiles ect.. or other add ins such as as sweet corn, chia seeds or honey but unfortunately a lot, possibly most people put dairy I'm now a days.

      Side note atole isn't necessarily a drink. It can be cooked to any consistency and although not as common now a days can be eaten as a porridge as a meal. I prefer it as a porridge and would recommend trying it that way

      Also it's not a Christmas drink/food. It was originally an everyday food. It was around way before Christianty was brought to Mexico. Probably long before Christianity was around.
