A honda will run for years even if you know nothing about car maintenance. With an expert behind the wrench, this thing will watch the universe burn out.
Got the 97 lx, stuck an afe intake on it using the stock air tube it just slides right on there nice & tight no clamps needed, suckers pretty loud almost sounds like I got an exhaust lol...nice video👍👌
that would be interesting to see! I am hoping to really upgrade the intake and throttle body, then the exhaust, that should really be more than enough for me to get back and forth to work. If I get a shop, I might look into a turbo build
Well, I mean the whole reason for a "cold air intake" is to get "cold" air and lots of it. This helps increase HP. So when we bring it into the engine bay, our air surely isn't as cool as it could be, and the "force" of air is also less, so in theory we are "defeating" the whole purpose. With all that said, too many water puddles here, I did the same thing!
yea, I was a little worried about how low that intake is ... thinking of modifying it to possibly more of a ram air intake, ... I haven't heard of a water bypass filter, might look into that. Thanks for the tip. I am still very new to the accord and working with cars, so this is a fun project, just gonna keep going
I believe the 93-97 models are designed like this. If you use a RAM air kit, you will not need to put your pipe down through there. I have considered modifying mine to basically a half and half
Like a nipple that sticks off of it? What model do you have? Either way there would be several options that will bolt right up. They can make a noticeable difference as well
This is very similar to the one I used. It is a great fit, only issue I had was no instructions so just figuring out the brackets. Amazon Link: amzn.to/3xG7YU7

Hi I know it’s been a while but I really just want to thank you I got a very similar air intake and this helped a lot
No problem, glad it helped!
Installed an ebay short ram intake with this. Thanks a lot.
Awesome. Glad it helped
I installed mine with the filter right behind the battery...While yours is sucking up water, mine is high and dry.

Same exact car I got. Perfect!
Love this car. Mine definitely needs some paint
Im thinking about doing the same , if you remember what price you payed that would be helpful 🙏also is a b series?
Got a white 96 accord that looks exactly like yours g
Nice
thanks
Be careful not to suck water in. Engine will seize not good . You could install water bypass filter

This is really helpful! Tha k you so much brother!
I hope it was man. Thanks for watching
Do only the 94 have that underneath the car part that you have to stick the filter through or does it depend on the trim level or??

@@MyLooneyBin oh ok, thanks, I appreciate the reply.
Woooohooooo, hot rod Honda!
my hose has 2 little hoses connector on the top. what brand works better?
Like a nipple that sticks off of it? What model do you have?

Did you have anything aftermarket when you filmed this? The reason i asked is because your car reached high rms way faster then my 96 vtec
Nothing else has been modified. It does good in certain ranges.
Do you put the plastic from the bottom back in?
I did not ... I did make sure I had the wheel well covers though
@@MyLooneyBin do these make the car waste more fuel? Because I've noticed some changes since I installed mine
Hot rod
How do you kno what kind of intake to get
