I like most PC guys. They have the most powerful devices. Have the highest resolutions and FPS count. But they're not ignorant power whores. They can still accept that games can still be great and highly enjoyable on a less powerful system. And you in particular are unbiased unlike most rabid fanboys. If a game is good, you admit it's good. Regardless of the system it runs on. Kudos to you sir. You've earned a new subscriber.
Its still really jaw dropping how Nintendo can develop these amazing innovative game mechanics and art styles, amazing and innovative consoles and yet somehow cannot manage to get basic voice and party chat right.

I feel like Nintendo could get away with a sequel like this at least this time. Not many people got around to getting a Wii U and even less got Splatoon. Who knows maybe this could've actually been their plan. I highly doubt it though.
T8ble THIS! this reason is only why I am OK with Nintendo making remasters and WiiU ports as launch games. The WiiU was so undersold that the classics on it can practically be considered brand new.

Trust me, better players don't focus On Covering turf. The priority is to prevent your opponent from covering turf, the ground coverage comes naturally.
Also coming back in splat zones isn't that hard, and in you have a Charger user they usually keep the zones somewhat covered.
Splatoon is designed to let Noobs help and not hinder the team
I think the splashdown is easy to avoid and the inkjet it way better.

I started watching your older videos recently and obviously you care about video games.
Was wondering, how do you feel about online only games? When you think about it, online only games are on death row. Eventually when it becomes unprofitable to the company, they shut down the servers forever. After that, you can not play them anymore. A good example is Darkspore.

Have you not tried to get all the Hero Weapon Replicas? Basically you have to beat all 27 levels and 5 bosses with a single weapon and a replica of that weapon is available for multiplayer, with the same stats and weapon set as the vanilla versions. Like the Hero Shot Replica is a reskinned Splattershot etc. So you had to, basically, play the campaign 9 TIMES for reskins
I remember people using lots of chargers in Splattoon 1, including me. They could be very effective in ranked battles.

I agree with you one-hundred percent, as i made my transition from the wii u to the switch the game felt very shallow and i had done this already. I got bored quickly and splatoon two was the reason i bought the switch early as i wanted to wait for mario odyssey, which i should had but i am not complaining. I got very bored of the game and only continued to play the switch and splatoon two, is becasue i shed over $400 for this thing so i might as well get my entertainment out of it ;~; While i do disagree with you on splatoon two's special weapons as they are more balance compared to the first game, but overall in their own maritz some are stronger then others and some are just unusable. Plus the main weapons are pretty balance for the most part. Chargers are not as good in the original splatoon, you covered that on the spot. Brushes are not rollers but the octo brush is a far superior weapon then most standard shooters. Finally the rotation thing is a big improvement from the wii u but i do not like it but i understand why it is there. To keep the game "fresh" and players busy with the game as it shall not get as dull. The same applies to salmon run, which i really like to play a few rounds or an hour and call it day for gaming. When it is available that is. Nice video review 0/

I would give the game's frame-rate a pass because lets face it, the Switch is simply a handheld with a TV dock. It should not be on the same level compared to other home consoles or gaming PCs.

They rebalanced the specials. Now the stingray is heavily used in competitive play and I think the inkjet was always good. Also sorry man but they buffed the splashdown and tentamissles.

online chat is way overated in my opinion when was the last time you got into an online chat for a shooter and didnt imadiatly mute it cus of the rest of the team being obnoxicios ? i love splatoon 2 and i think one of the reasons is becouse it has the multiplayer gameplay without me having to suffer the multiplayer headaches that other titles have

Dimension Gamer on my PS4. I always voice chat with my fire team when we raid and stuff in destiny. Haven't played my PS4 in a while. I think if I had same voice chat capabilities on the switch as on my other systems I would play the games way more than I already do. And i already play a lot. Sometimes I just like to chat with my friends while we both play different games. It's nice. I would like to see the option on my switch eventually. Just regular native voice chats with friends and maybe even an invitation option for strangers who I'd like to get acquainted with is good enough for me. I don't need to really hear random strangers and opposing team voices.
That is why you just use voice chat/party chat with a friend or people you know. Still doesn't excuse the asinine implementation of voice chat for Splatoon 2. Having to use a smartphone just to be able to voice chat is ridiculous. And again your point about muting players is something that countless other companies have already figured out...yet Nintendo can't seem to get it through their head that yes, it is possible to mute obnoxious people.
Linkman247 you make some good points but I still think I'd rather have no voice chat from the off than have to mute 3/4times and that's what I want really options. I want you guys that coop to coop how you want but I want my type of multiplayer forethought that relies on me to get a good idea of what my team needs / wants aswell

I disagree, I think inkstorm is very good, it covers a lot of turf in turf war occasionally gets me kills, and in other gamemodes it helps me and my teammates get easy kills

Decided to pass on Arms and Splatoon 2. When Nintendo starts charging for online next year, those games will become paperweights as I have no intention of paying to play online as I have serious doubts about it being worth it. Unless they perhaps allow for the usage of the rainway app through said paywall. The only way I will buy games on Switch that have multiplayer content is if they offer a robust single player experience.
