Thanks for doing all the mathing and figuring out some approximates. If I lose 100 pounds, I could become a gymnast and a faster driver as well. Win win. We have a friend who has made substantial weight reduction on a Cayman S. No power adders. Just with the reduction in weight, he does basically similar lap times to cars that have a 100hp+ advantage (sometimes even faster - depending on the track). Pretty impressive and proves your very good point.
We could all benefit from shaving a few pounds, crazy how important it is!
I have seen a few examples of those gutted caymans, they are quick and catch you by surprise most of the time!
a few of the guys i AX with are some BIG boys yet they get some good run times. that always makes me wonder since they’re probably twice my weight, i’m 153. their cars have good hp but nothing crazy.
AX may be a little different, this since the bursts of full throttle are usually short.
Makes me want to look at cornering data and loads we had while karting. Normal vs Weighted. We will probably see more load/grip through corners but loose most of it in acceleration because of the power to weight ratio?
I believe you are .6 seconds faster than Greyson on the back straight due to your weight difference...
Are you baiting me into talking bad about Greyson? 😆
So I’m subtracting 1s when we compare times since I’ve got 100lbs in you. Lol.
Well there you go!😆
About that at COTA if that's the case...
