I remember watching you in 2021 and trying to walk 10 miles. I felt crippled I was 286. 80lb later I just ran 7.2 miles Sunday, 2 miles this morning. Thanks for all your instruction. Your an awesome dude.
"You're best is different every day" is SUCH a powerful statement. I am only on the second week of C25K but was feeling so sad that my body hurts and I seem less capable in week 2 than week one. I will keep your saying in mind and just do my best each day.
@@UhuruFrontier Thank you! I finished the C25K now and can run for 45mins now. VERY slowly, but I keep going. And my body needs a day or 2 off, but then I go again. I am excited to see how much progress I can make over the next year.
I started following you when I started running last year. This year I ran 2 half marathons and I’m setting a time goal for myself for my third half next spring! I always appreciate your motivation and tips that you share. Thanks for being such a positive influence and helping me to learn to enjoy running
Thanks for this. I have just started running again after 10+ years off due some back issues. Even though I've run a marathon, two half-marathons and many 10-Ks, after that much time off I feel like I've *never* run before. It's been humbling to get back into it - run/walks to start - but I'm taking it slow, embracing the small goals and not putting any pressure on myself.
I started following Hellah in early 2019 and got my run streak up to 365 days! in 2020 I got first place in a 5k then ran my first half marathon, although I wasn't running every single day my activity levels were at an entire new level. In 2021 I ran another half marathon, and in 2022 I outperformed my previous two half marathon times and am at a level I never thought I could reach. Keeping consistent and constantly going through the motions like hellah says has now gotten me to a level where I can manage 2 cardio sessions every single day without putting too much stress on my body. A lot of other books, podcasts, and other fitness youtubers/friends helped me along my journey to get where I am but hellah was a very crucial part in helping me get started, motiving me to remain consistent, and achieve a super long streak! thank you brother you really lit a strong fire with me, and I send all the people/patients who ask me for running advice right to your UA-cam channel lmao!
Man ,it feels so positive and motivatwd on listening to you, feels like keep listening to you , thanks for spreading this positivity and the knowledge, big love from India
This video hit it on the nail for me - I’m a beginner and I enjoy running but I got so easily swayed this afternoon by what others are doing (big races PR times etc) so I went out for a run but felt so bad because “I wasn’t fast enough or good enough” so stupid to think that but I just wanted to get better faster - you just said what I needed to hear. plus I heard about you through sally Mcrae via her podcast today! So glad I came across your video just now - I’m gonna just enjoy running for what it does to me and the journey! (Should know better but I forget!)
Thank you for this! At 34, I can only run about 7 minutes at a time because of chest pains and heart palpitations but improving every day (giving my day's best). Trying to get off blood pressure meds and stopping the heart issues.
Thank you for the motivation! My goal is to run for 1 minute everyday & add a minute every month until I can run a minimum of 30 minutes everyday. I'm a busy working mom & hope to be a runner for life.🏃💛
HOKA lucky to have you thanks for the basics tips I go back to basics make some minor adjustments to my runs mindset form miscellaneous ideas yeah i cant wait to hit the streets myself
Ive been trying to casually get into running for about a year. I get a bunch of knee pain for 3+ days after running just 10-20 minutes. I want to keep doing it but it hurts. Being in your 30s is just pain.
First running shoes came in. I will be running for the first time. Longest i ever ran was 10 mins in school. Any tips or about form that i need to know?
I use to workout for speed camp, powerlifting and. Football. For some reason I want to start just running, anyome have any tips for someone trying start small? Stretching too, I pulled a hamstring 5 years ago but now it feels as if it’s super tight

Such a well put together video, the running throughout the tips was a nice retention strategy as well as just plain impressive. Happy to be one of the first to see it.
Glad someone else isn't afraid of the rain. I love it because of the same reason. Reminds me of running through the rain as a kid playing with my friends.

Remember, you body breaks down during the first three weeks. Then it builds up for six weeks. From there, your body is in maintaining phase.

Hello Hellah. What are your views on David Goggins?
First running shoes came in. I will be running for the first time. Longest i ever ran was 10 mins in school. Any tips or about form that i need to know?
anyone got some shoe recommendations would like a well cushioned shoe, don't care about speed just about comfort.
