Unexpected river leads can be tricky. Play the hand back and consider the preflop range of your opponent.

Omg exaggerated much. I just pointed out the obvious that you are losing viewers and subscribers. Im not on a brigade to ruin your channel, im just voicing the concerns and viewpoints of many of your current subscribers and myself who love to follow along with hands because we are avid poker players and logical thinking players and we like to see if we we're correct in the end. Its fun and rewarding. We don't want to get blue balled at the end and we all know you have SO much content, there's no need to REALLY choose non reveal hands and if you do, an indication in the title would be appreciated.
I do appreciate you acknowledging me. I work in the industry as a dealer at one of the greatest action casinos in NorCal and appreciate your content because its entertaining and educational. But the ending of your videos are the icing on the cake especially when im on the drive to work.
i did @you on twitter btw because I aint paying for a blue check mark just to message one person directly.
Let me go pull up the short and check the comments .

@@stevenundisclosed6091that's a cool story bro. Not everyone cares, but a lot of people do. In this particular hand it doesnt really matter because we know opponent thought he was going for value but value owned himself. I.e. he probably had overpair and was waiting for a clean run out. OR he was repping the nuts with the common check/call x 2 then lead river.
In regards to reveals, those of us are more interested in hands where hero folds, or even hands where some bizarre shit happens. Fun exciting hands. This wasnt really one of them
Edit: Also, yea reveals dont matter for the analysis... But thats not my point. The reveal is beneficial for those thinking listeners that like to guess what Villian has and then get confirmation if they're right.

One thing that sometimes makes sense, to see the opponent's hand without it looking like a nit roll, is to call and then wait for them to show while looking concerned they might have you beat. Any time you don't have the nuts (or very close to the nuts), you can play it off like you thought you were good but you were dreading that slightly better hand getting flipped over. And if they just muck, then you know it was a bluff.

so my immediate thought was easiest snap call in the history of poker on the river. but the more i let it marinate the more i think that we're simply never behind here and should strongly be considering a jam. i just dont think most villains at this level are playing the nut flush this way. i would guess 90% are either check-rasing flop or turn. i mean we bet pretty big on turn and villain just called with less than a pot sized bet behind. its the easiest check-jam ever if villain has a flush here. also the river lead strongly suggests villain was waiting for a safe card as opposed to trapping bc if he was slowplaying a better hand he would have probably crai on turn. i hope im not being results oriented bc i know the the results but im just not convinced we're ever losing this hand.
i do agree that villain wont have a lot to call us with since his river bet will mostly be bluffs but maybe its occasionally a set or some super random straight or 2 pair that gets stubborn.

So... I found this hand pretty boring. There are tiny things I could say, like my sizing's would probably have been 100 & 200 on flop and turn respectively. I certainly don't think the sizes hero chose were "wrong". And ever decision point seems obvious to me. So why am I even posting? There are 2 interesting things in this video for me.
    1) I know UTG is not our hero or villain, but his play here is awful. There is no hand he could ever have that should open from UTG and fold to a button raise, especially with the SB flatting in between.
    2) At the end we hear about one of these "reveal" junkies. Obviously I'm with Bart on this nonsense. This is not a "poker show" where you get to see all the hole cards. This is analysis where the reveal is irrelevant. Now I must admit I will sometimes sort of violate this idea by pointing out on a reveal that my analysis was correct, but it would still be correct sans reveal. 😜
