I hope this game stays more casual and strays away from locking lots of stuff behind quests and vendor levels and is more new player friendly/less hardcore. If they do this people will love it once the game is fully released and more developed. Many people don't play games like Tarkov (I know comparing it to that...) due to it being too time consuming and hardcore and that you can only progress if your full time streamer basically. People want to just come home from work/school and play a cool semi competitive game and chill out, Much like Arma Reforger, It is very easy to just jump in and play ever so often.
Completely agree. If I got shredded stepping out the chopper the way those poor lads did, I don't think I'd spiritually recover for the rest of the evening. I'm very interested in the PvE route, just having fun with friends. I'll leave the Leader Board & griefing to others.

Come on though, getting shredded the second the heli lands by players hiding in the trees I can't even see & having to invest time in recovering lost items just to have another crack at it? That's just brutal... and that's before the inevitable wave of cheats & griefers arrive. I'll leave this to the younger guys & stick to PvE. I get spawn camped enough by my son waking me up at 5am.
My only two pvp encounters so far have been a dude camped in a shed killing new players who were doing their first quests. I think he was there for at least an hour. And another guy in the bushes sniping an LZ. My friend was dead within 2 seconds of exiting the heli. Not even in the middle of the map, in the starter quest town. I'm enjoying this game, but worry that griefing is gonna be a real issue moving forward.
@@GhostGamingg I totally get the minimalist/hardcore/immersive thing, but a simple 3D location ping, squad member markers on the compass, maybe even faction colors (just a slight tint), would go a long way towards fixing this as well as other frustrations. I've seen squads of friends running around with no pants on and their explanation was (besides being funny) they can easily tell who's in their squad and who's not/an enemy.
Looks great but what I dont like is not being able to easily recognize enemies/teammate's. You see this with lots of modern (mil sim) shooters now and I don't think it has to be this way.
They are looking into some form of identification but I think they want you to have to check your map to tell friend from foe and effectively, 'ok' the kill.
just sad that PVP is almost impossible due to the forced and aggressive TAA used by this game, makes the game so blurry and pixelated i cant see anything past 20 meters even in native 4k resolution, played with all settings and it doesnt help, not a settings or hardware issue, hope they fix this because spotting is basically impossible.
... more than 95% of the pvp in this game is literally just two scenarios.. attacking players that don't know you are there, or camping an LZ and killing players before they can spot you or even fight back. In short, it sucks. And its not rewarding, even looting the guy you killed just means getting camped by anyone else that may have been in the area or teamed with him. It just... sucks, its not rewarding at all to wait for 10+ minutes, gank someone and then proceed to get trade killed. It sucks, i have no idea why mil sim gamers see no value in the time they spend playing these boring games throwing words like "realism" or "slower paced gameplay" around as if it didnt mean sitting in bushes for hours (and farming it for content like most youtube/twitch schmucks)

I saw a youtuber describe it as an extraction shooter for dads, and I lowkey think that's a great target to aim for.

They are super easy in PvE mode. If you want it easier than that it dosent sound like you want to play a video game lol

Slow methodical gameplay is what I love about Sim games. Makes a singular kill much more rewarding in my opinion.
Yeah the kills are more rewarding than constant action like in CoD or BF probably because there are fewer of those moments
