Just discovered your channel recently and just moved to LA and it's super cool to be able to see crews skate together like that. Indy makes replacement pivot cups. replace the pivot cups, or take them out before you cut the trucks. they pop right out. there not glued in there..... lol Dan your friend does weird stuff with his trucks, but skates so good on them, lol!

If a company wants a gas deck, stick to a classic favorite shape and lengths for a wide variety of skater athletic abilities and focus on crisp poppy decks with strict quality control. At a budget deck price.

Unlike everything else, deck prices have remained insanely consistent. $60 for years now…

@@lamBETTERthanY0U those are the flight decks, or the larger old school shaped decks/shaped Andy decks. Plenty of Powell standard 7-ply popsicles for $60, if you’re curious.
you got to have a min of at least 2 shapes or 3 or more. the dimensions like length and wheelbase and tail length mean more than width, people focus on width so much, in reality its everything else to worry about.
I had board madness bad, bought every brand over a 2 year period almost. skated every shape and all kinds of dimensions.
now I can skate anything, but I like certain things, and I'm looking for those particular things, if a brand was to make consistently what I want that be amazing, I agree with you on that aspect. 1000%
graphics are always better simple, and if someone made consistent shapes with options on one shape with different wheelbases and lengths and widths that be nice, and maybe the next shape same options, and so on, that way you can skate the dimensions you like and the shape also, if you wanna change shapes its easier because you would have the dimensions options. No one is doing that! I skate like 3 main company's: "Heroin for a 10.in", "Creature Vx or Creature mostly 9in" and "WKND or for a mellow 8.5 street set up" The street set up is where i get super consistent with what i want out of the board! I need a 14.25 WB, 32 length or 32.1, and the tail has to be 6.5 or shorter length not 6.6, The Concave mellow

Just release a symmetrical popsicle flight deck you muppets. Andy's Heron egg kinda becomes a popsicle once you skate it long enough, but the goddamn wheelbase, like 1.8 - 2 inch off of that wheelbase and it would be perfect for my short stumps.

Been riding 9" Powell flight decks for over 3 years now. Can you give some insight about the changes? Maybe even a video with the shape dude, explaining his process. I'm currently thinking of drilling holes to shorten the wheelbase a bit for my next deck. Don't know if that is a good idea though
