MAN, you wont believe i had the same question and the answer is you have to have a small extra feature that I thought I had - it calls "ROAD speed limit assist" the regular "SPEED LIMIT" is that you can see when the car surpasses the preset speed limit and you get a stupid notification about it. like if your teenager takes the car for a ride you know how fast he drives... so uselesss.
In reality the road speed limit is in driver assistance package plus, where you can see the real speed limit on the road.. sorry about my comment but I got so used to this feature on all my cars, I was super upset i didn't have it in my GLE 2020 for 70K MSRP...
