Just bought my dad’s 2017 gti w 12k miles off him. I’ve seen that car spend its whole life sitting in the garage. Never driven in the rain. I’m so excited to start building it. I’ve ordered an IE intake and holy shift short shifter.
@@pattyboi yea he bought it and treated like a Porsche. Which makes sense. He upgraded to a ct4v blackwing and I get the gti. I drive an nb miata which I might get rid of not sure yet. The gti was all of 2 stretches on it. Plus I’m getting a hell of a deal
I was facing the same choices last year and ultimately went with a mk6 Gti with a DSG. Mk7 around here are more like 22-25k. My long time daily driver was a 2005 Silverado 4x4 but wanted a fun little grocery getter. If I would have found a yellow or blue w/ white stripes Mini S, probably would have pulled the trigger on it. But no regrets. Both are fun practical rides.
That’s crazy I sold my gti to buy my jcw mini cooper.. now I’m selling my jcw mini to get back into the Honda game. Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love my mini but just have a love for Honda that just won’t go away.
@@pattyboi no bro I just happened to get the dreaded n14 engine meaning I tend to fix it a lot more than most but still a great car overall. Still one of the quickest cars I have ever owned at over 220 whp with the mods I’ve done and that’s without a tune yet.
i had a friend who had one of these and he put a 4in custom made catless dp and that paired with no axleback/midpipe was so crazy to hear. but with an exhaust prob sounds better
