      I will say as expensive as the online version is to get shipped to where I live (Australia) it's the best shampoo and conditioner I've ever used and my hair loves it. I will say though the bottles last me 6 months so it's not the worst expense ever.

      I used the face routine and it cured my acne which I've had my whole life and I've had the products for 3 months now and they're only half gone. $100 for all 3 products with shipping so about $30 for a 6 month supply of each product.

    • @hailyjohnson407
      @hailyjohnson407 3 роки тому +5

      @@joannam1284 it might have been that you were using a lot of heavy protein ones that built up in your hair! I feel like based on this video, that maybe you need the additives when your hair is unhealthy, but once it looks good, you are probably best to just use the base and maybe one additive, because there is such a thing as too much of a good thing! A lot of these seem like theyre super good for your hair, but if you use too many protein strengtheners, its gonna start to overload and damage your hair, or too many hydrating ingredients will make your hair oily, etc. It's probably just finding the right balance for you!

It’s cool that they let you customize your mix, but I think a lot of people get caught up in the novelty of that and don’t stop to wonder if these products work any better than what’s already on the market. I think it'd be great for people like me who don't have that many great options for their hair type. I'm 2c-3a, but I have super porous fine hair (natural ash, almost white blond), so it tangles and breaks without heat styling or dying. I end up mixing several products on that cost about what this does to get the same results some people can get with one. I usually end up having to do a weird rotation of products for coily and wavy hair depending on how it feels before I wash it and how long it's been since wash day. The in between is too light after washing and too heavy a few days later.

Now, no dandruff or itchiness-completely gone, and I can wash twice a week. If I splurge and have cake or something high carb, the dandruff reappears until I get those carbs back down.

    Best of luck to anyone actually using these, my hair is still recovering from the absolute havoc these products wreaked on it.
    I have straight, virgin hair that's super healthy, shiny, and balanced normally so I figured it wouldn't do any harm to try out personalised hair care. This stuff left my hair greasy a few hours after washing, matted and tangled constantly, dull and overall limp and lifeless. I've used literal poundland products that made my hair look and feel better lmao. At first I thought my hair was just adjusting to the new product but after 3 months it was still awful so now I'm stuck with over half a bottle of shampoo I literally can't use and a conditioner that doesn't really do anything more than a standard drugstore product.

      I had the same problem! Somehow made my hair greasy while simultaneously drying out my ends. I even tried doing a second customized set with different goals in hopes of it being my fault the first time.... nope!

    I've had fob a year ago, and I really liked the first one, it genuinely changed my hair for the better at first. And even more so my scalp. But halfway through the bottle it stopped working as I wanted it to. It did nothing more than what Drugstore shampoo and conditioner did for me. I then changed my goals for the next shipment and that didn't help much either.
    The shampoo and conditioner work. They don't irritate my sensitive scalp, my hair is healthy etc. But it's not good enough to be worth the money, if I can get the same result for a fraction of the price, especially with international shipping and taxes which I had to deal with.

      Out of interest did you pick a formula with silicones? I've had a similar experience- switched to a different shampoo, which has been amazing for a while then has just stopped working, and my hairdresser said it was probably silicone deposits building up over time.

    • @vanessa3550
      @vanessa3550 3 роки тому +2

      @@ACWells13 No, I got the silicone free option. I've never used shampoos or conditioners with silicones in my life before, so I didn't see the reason to start with fob.
      I genuinely think it just worked to well 😂 My hair became so much more healthy, I then also had a haircut and that left me with pretty much only virgin undyed hair and because of that the old recipe became too nourishing. The second shipment with adjusted goals worked, but since my hair by then was so healthy, it didn't work that much better than drug store shampoo would and just is not worth the price.
      I'm still using up the shampoo bottle (they do last forever) but I'll switch to something cheaper afterwards.
