I like the idea of tornadoes in game but I hope they don't "over do" it. While tornadoes happen all the time they are really small, localized events. It happening on your small patch on land is rare. About the same odds of getting struck by lightning. For reference, I've lived in Tornado Alley in Texas for 60 years and never been within 10 miles of one. Now, if they model drought and too much rain and the real life effects that would be real cool. No matter what they need a selectable "percentage chance to happen" in the game options.
With all of the talk about construction, I'd guess that we'll be able to rebuild damaged buildings like the Silverrun rollercoaster. Also, the "cameraman" quote gives me another hint that there may be a built-in photo mode. Everything is looking promising!
This Game is looking absolutely incredible and with the all the weather effects and tornadoes I'm super excited for FS25! Can't wait to see more news and finally play the game.😁
Howdy FSG 🤠 loved the video! The calf seems to resemble a Jersey Cow. I grew up milking Jerseys and although smaller than Holsteins their milk is superior! Beyond hyped for fs25 thank you for all the content💪🏻
Hey FSG, I'm pretty shure you are right about the third person, we've seen so many hints that it must be coming! And I'm excited about the damaging of the buildings when a twister passes by, so really looking forward to FS 25 and all the news!!!
Hello FSG.🙂I hope Giants takes into account the fact that if there is a lot of fog, then you can't harvest your grains because there is also a lot of moisture, so you really have to wait for it to dry. otherwise, this fog thing doesn't really make sense.
Two things I noticed not covered, the cab of the Int'l truck bounces, air suspended cab? And it looks like there's different heights of grass, beside shed when green 'zoom-boom' comes out.
Over here in America tornadoes are about a monthly thing especially in Midwest and the corn belt. Sometimes once a month there could be about 4 tornadoes that affect a location.
Some places are more prone than other to get Tornadoes, other places never get them. I wonder/hope Giants kept that in mind depending on where your far is situated.
Yeah I really hope it will be able to fix the buildings afterwards. Be able to use the forestry machines and productions as well. It would add the game to a hole new level
Hmm. the part of the farmer with the small plot that had more of his crop and sheds damaged than other farmers that had prepared for the storm.. does that sound like there are steps we as players can take to mitigate storm damage? other than putting bales in sheds i mean as that was also mentioned. Shutting doors/ windows on buildings maybe? I am so excited for the new implements and other machines. I can not wait to try that spinach harvester out, the animations we have seen look so good.
Sounds promising. Tried the game today and, although the demo was way to limited, i really liked it. And after watching this, i guess Giants like to listen to The Scorpions 😅
I hope you can turn a setting off so the weather will not damage the crops.... I always play with crop destruction off so my friend and my self can drive off road safety, so I would not want weather to damage them...
@@jonathanbair523 I used to also play like that but since I started to play realistic (so also crop damage), the game is so much more rewarding to play.
I suppose in real life you have tornado seasons especially in America so I wonder if that might be a thing having a specific season or month for a tornado
Yeah I agree. I hope they have made it so it's following a logical sense in terms of witch season of the year it would be logical and realistic. Would love to hear to tornado siren going off as well😁🎃🍁🤎🍂
Ive noticed a shot in the gameplay trailer of the truck exhaust that is appears to be affected by the wind. "Listening for the wind" makes it really exciting as it would be a Lot more emersive. FS22 is pretty much dead quiet without mods.
Also, I imagine the _damaged shed_ might be a new type of contract. You might need to cut some trees and make them in to boards and planks and deliver them to repair the shed.
Good Vid The weather is very exciting stuff. We have tornados on riverbend springs, thunder storms on the asia map. I wonder what Zelonka will have maybe blizzards
Potentially, you'll definitely be able to talk to some of the NPCs on the map, but nto sure if they'll give you tasks/contracts or things to do. I'm sure we'll get more info soon
Just watching it there now, the point with the image of the hail with the stream down the left, the map image reminds me of Goldcrest Valley? And the shot with the Case with cultivator - the buildings in the background remind me of the Deutschland map?
My big questions so far: Is flooding going to be dynamic across the map with the new weather systems and water mechanics as well, or is “flooding” going to be limited to the new crops and their respective field type? If there is dynamic flooding across the maps, is there going to be a greater emphasis on irrigation and drainage across all crop types, not just the flood-proof crops? And if all those things are to be so; are field tiles, center-pivot irrigation and/or drainage ditches and planing for them going to be a thing? It’d be sweet if it ends up being a yes to all those things.
@@TheRealityCheQwould be amazing. From the material and interviews, i'm afraid it will be limited to the specific fields for rice (or other wet crops).
@@simfellow well if not, hopefully we will get to see some epic modding magic for this edition once mod devs get ahold of it and are familiar with what it can and can’t do. 🤞
@@TheRealityCheQ the modders will take this and add things to that, for sure!! It will take some time, but the ideas some modders have are mindblowing.
If the sheds can be damaged, could vehicles and implements receive damage as indicated on their status bars? As far as repairing sheds and other buildings, the platinum for fs 22 had woodworking and metal working businesses that you could take materials to. Those could play a role for repairs or even fixing up the old building from the first trailer and screenshots. Again, we saw the cab of the truck shake as it went down the road. Could that indicate anything major? Or just like a hood opening? It is a cabover.
At 4:20, you can see mud on the road, dropped from a wheel that have passed before. (the brown patches, partly over the yellow line and on the right of that). The damage is certainly from ' all weather effects' , as they describe. Great step ion the good direction!! The texture 'after damage' should be something that fell over or flattened, instead of bare brown ground. The Grumpy line is a hint to the 'interactive NPC's that were mentioned before. Question is if they are only in specific spots or widely spread and roaming around. Nice and I am curious. Now that plow furrow, THAT is a nice improvement! There, you can see the depth of the ground deformation. I think they mentioned 17cm or somthing as max? It would indeed be nice if the amount of the turn over ground matches the blades. The container in the shot around 14:30.... Might that be part of a construction project that is planned or placed?
So will trailer covers finally have a purpose? Price reduction for high moisture grain? Grain loss in high winds? This is looking like quite a big jump forwards. Got the yr1 pass bundle ordered and feeling justified already, might have a wee rebuild to pep up my pc , I wonder how close to my 120 refresh rate I can get... I saw a video from gamescom it was in German so I didn’t fully understand everything that was being said. But the ui was in English and there was some very interesting stuff. Like the weather forecast shows a tornado. Something not related to weather when they tabed into the grain cart it had toggle work mode and activate worker.
The grain cart having a worker option is very interresting, it might just be similar to 22 where you can send it to somewhere or an unloading point. But having the ability to have the ai unload the combine and load a truck would be great.
@@aceplaysgamesnetwork9566 i just saw the video, my german isn't the best but from what i heard i believe they said that just like 22 you can hire ai to drive somewhere but you still have to unload the combine yourself.
I want to preface this with I'm not discounting your opinion or thoughts on the game. I'm just genuinely curious. FS22 was my very first foray into this series and I wasn't around to even see the release of that game. However, while this idea of 3rd person view sounds great and I would welcome it, all of their screenshots just seem to be artistically-framed shots to show off the environment and the game. Every game does this regardless of what POV they use in actual gameplay. Were all of Giants' screenshots from FS22 and previous releases never shown in 3rd person? I agree they are using it for creative effect in the images and of course a 3rd person camera would likely sit behind the person in reality. We’ll just have to wait a see 🤞
I think it's odd how Giants handles new/existing features. Being a software engineer, I build in configuration for everything if it's adjustable by the user or not to save myself from rewriting code. Giants have a good base to have default settings by the mode selected when starting a new game, so it's a fallacy in my mind that there would be too many settings for casual players. It'd be amazing to tweak every last setting, especially with these new weather effects!
I would have rather seen 4x maps for cross play than tornado on 2x maps. They could’ve used the resources on the consoles to run 4x maps than all this weather effect.
Not necessarily. These weather effects are primarily running on the graphics card, but increasing the size of a map hugely increases the CPU load. It might be for the most part that there's more available overhead (esp. on consoles) to improve the graphics over the map size.
