can we get a lot more of these videos? there's more than 7 years of info to behind the scenes about.
like a map history for each map with maybe alpha/beta concepts vs how they released.
the original car designs - what inspired them and what they looked like in concept and how they morphed to final version.
more cutting room floor stuff, like failed modes, funny physics gone wrong. rejected quick chats.
also more of the april fools day content origins - grand eggplant, big hat, 3 wheeled octane.
i also really enjoyed the gdc video from years ago

Awesome video! It's funny how we take some things for granted and audio is definitely one of those. Great to see the work involved in this amazing game!
People should never take audio for granted in this game. It's such an important part of this game. I don't know how many times I have been saved by the sound of someone charging at me, letting me jump to avoid a demo. I've actually blocked a lot of shots or clears based on sound only as well. I'd have the ball cam off to come back to my end, but still be near the ball, I'd hear someone coming from the opponents end and I'd do a blind jump up just to block the ball without being able to see it.
I actually use the Civet (cat) engine sound as well because very few people use it, so people (mostly my cousin) knows when I am near and can make the appropriate action based on hearing me when I am near.
The in game audio is crucial to pay attention to in this game for sure.

@@kimmokoolwtf Only Diamond. (technically champ if you want to count Rumble... but I personally don't) Been pretty close to champ a few times... but in 2's every time we get on the cusp of hitting it, we start getting hit hard by smurfs and always end up droping back down to Diamond 1-2... (and yes it's actually smurfs more often than not and not just us playing poorly. We can, and have held our own against champs in casual when we hit them in the 1400-1500 MMR range) Their mechanics match what I see high champs and GC's when I come across them in casual, and more often than not you'll see them with new accounts, getting 30+ MMR for their win, and sometimes they'll even have their champ or GC stuff on because they know nothing will come of them smurfing.)
It's just some smaller things my cousin and I have picked up on doing over the years of playing.

one thing i've never understood is why we're not able to preview the engine audio BEFORE we buy cars... surely this would be so incredibly easy to implement and would potentially even increase sales of the cars. Very strange to me.
particularly cars like the Delorean, which have extremely unique engine audio / supersonic / boost / zero boost sound effects. Why on earth can those not be listened to prior to buying the car?! :/

The Gti looks alright in the menu but feels and looks like the ghost busters car when you drive. I havent used sound in rocket league in years, i will not be having feedback on the engine noise. ( real question does: anyone really use different engine noises because they like them? or just to troll? ( e.g helicopter engine) )
I use the Civet (cat) engine sound for non troll reasons. It's because so few people use that sound and it makes it easier for my partners to know when I am around. (my cousin mostly)
An example of how it's helpful is if my cousin (or any partner in general) is in net and the ball is in the corner with the opponent. I can drive up behind them letting them know I am in net so they can go out after the ball. Nothing needs to be said, no quick chat needs to be used. If you hear a cat meowing behind you, you notice it. Especially since it's something not used often in game.
It can also help prevent double commits, if you are under a ball for example, and hear a cat flying up towards the ball from behind, you know not to go up after it because it will hit it out of your partners way. (You shouldn't go after a ball above you in most cases anyway as there is a good chance someone on your team is already going for it with a better hit)

You need to buy the pass to get the golf and the fennec costs 500 credits when available in the shop. I just got a fennec blueprint from leveling up also
