So my last cruise ( may 2022) I put $500 in cruise cash and $100 of bar cash. I had free drinks in the casino so the bar cash was for mdr, alchemy bar, etc. I had around $130 left in cruise cash and thought I could go to the candy shop for gift cards on the last full day. Unfortunately they didn't have any, BUT I went to the casino and put that money in a machine then immediately put it in my players account( after a spin or two of course🤫) Went to the cage to cash out before they closed down and got my money back from my unspent cruise cash. I'm going on another cruise Dec 26th so hopefully it still works🤣
Cruise cash is a great idea. It allows for a limited or no bill after the trip so the trip is truly paid for up front. I like it as a limit setter so I don’t lose my mind on the boat. As always. You two are great.
My first cruise is in two weeks!I was thinking of purchasing cruise cash but I didn’t wanna risk not being able to get back what I don’t spend. So now I’m thinking imma just add cash to my sign and sail card. That seems like a better option for me because I don’t have a credit card and I didn’t want to link my debit card to my account. And I can get back what I don’t spend! Thanks for all your tips and videos!
I pre-purchased Cruise Cash for my cruise last week and purchased pictures, alcohol and gift shop items. Worked out great. 👍🏾 thanks for the videos! I used up out of my $100: $99.87 Lol
Thank goodness I saw this because I’m not a big drinker and I was trying to find alternatives as the drink package was stressing me out!!!! I’ll definitely be getting the cruise cash bar!!!!!
The best thing I did was have a separate credit card. Or a cruise pre paid visa card put $1,000 and put that on my sail and sign card. That was great cause.I was able to purchase anything (drinks, gifts, even at the Casino). and was able to keep track of what I was spending.
I actually put $500 on cruise cash. I'm pretty sure we'll find somewhere to spend it! Like I'll probably want a couple specialty coffees every day and I want to have one night that I can drink a few bloody Marys, not to mention what my husband might want! I'm so excited!
First off I’ve gotta say, I love your dynamic together. You two are very entertaining and informative. My partner and I are going on our first cruise the end of this month and I’ve been doing a lot of research. I save cash for vacations but due to booking everything in advance wanted to spend cash on our beverages so you answered so many questions I had. Thank you guys!
This was so helpful. I am so stressed about receiving a bill at the end of the trip that I don't have enough to pay for. I like that I can add money to my sail and sign card throughout my trip at kiosk. I don't like that it has to be cash. The cruise cash and bar cash is not for me. I'm on a budget
Thank you so much! I almost fell for the Bar Cash. I will definitely use Sign and Sail instead. And I'm currently searching for those t-shirts, they will make a great anniversary gift for us and maybe we'll wear them on the cruise!
This video was such a relief! I’ve been purchasing $25 cruise cash chunks here and there and was pretty sure I was doing the right thing, but this cemented it! I don’t have credit cards, only a debit card, so the first time I sailed in 2017 I was in a bit of a pickle waiting for a hold to release after returning to shore. Since I’ll be dealing with a rental car and hotel deposits before sailing again in January, I’m trying to avoid using my debit card for the sail and sign-Cruise Cash all the way!! It’s also handy for gift giving-I’ve only ever seen $100 Carnival gift cards, and that’s a lot to ask for over the holidays! Cruise Cash with my booking number is going on my birthday/Christmas wishlist this year! 😁
@@melissaspurling444 Once you’re on board you can add cash to your sail and sign account with guest services, but to be honest I’d do it at the terminal before boarding if you have time. Our embarkation was delayed due to a coast guard drill and while twiddling our thumbs at the terminal, hardly anyone was utilizing the guest services desk so I hardly had to wait. That’s at Long Beach, but I would imagine most terminals have a guest services desk!
@@melissaspurling444 and fyi, as you spend on board you’ll automatically go through your cruise cash first, then they’ll use your cash deposit. If you’ve got more than I think $10 left at the end of the cruise, you’ll get mailed a check.
This was so helpful! I was on the fence with buying the Cheers package, so Bar Cash or Cruise Cash seems like the perfect thing! I didn't know this was an option.
I always do cruise cash great way to stick with a budget but we are conservative with how much we purchase so we don’t end up losing the money in the end. I recommend it but I can see why others may not. :)
Thank you thank you thank you. A very informative video. I go on my cruise in 5 days and this video helped a lot. I’ll just add the cash to my sign and sail card when I arrive on the ship. Just in case I don’t use all of it.
Thank you for this video! My husband and I will be on the Carnival Freedom February 2023. I was sold on the cruise cash before still undecided on the amount to purchase but like another commenter said I think I’ll do $250 cruise cash and add cash as needed. Nobody has time to be overspending 😅
Thank you, this was very good information because I was really deciding if I wanted to purchase the Bar Cash Card or not. It's new and the people I went with purchased the drink package but I knew I wasn't going to drink that much. I'm more prepared this time around for my 2nd cruise thanks to all of your videos. 😊❤
I’m not a first time cruiser, but I knew to come find you guys to understand how Cruise Cash and Bar Cash work. I have never used them and I am considering it for my cruise coming up in November. I literally stopped checking in to come re-watch some of your videos! Thank you 🙏🏾 😊😊
As a first time carnival cruiser I think I'd much rather go with putting cash in the sail and sign account when we board. Seems like that's a safer way to get money back if you don't plan to use it all or load in increments throughout the cruise. I may still give cruise cash a change but only load 100 and see how that goes.
I prefer sail and sign card. I'm not putting money on a card that I may not get back. I added cash to my card and did not attach my credit or debit card. I can use the sail and sign card everywhere, even at the jewelry store. I appreciate you two 🧡🧡🧡
I feel ready for my first cruise after watching your videos!! I feel much less stressed, being informed! We really enjoy yalls vibe and appreciate all you do! Ciao
Thank you ! Y’all helped so much with my 1st cruise in 2022. And now with my 2nd and 3rd cruises booked for spring 2023, this information will definitely come in handy. I really was getting the cruise cash and loading cash mixed up. I added my credit card on the 1st cruise and probably spent more than I should have. But it’s all clear now. Loading cash onboard is for me. I’m not a drinker, will be traveling with teenagers and I like to stay within a budget. The use-it or lose-it is NOT cool and neither is overspending with a credit card. Love y’all! ❤
Very helpful. This is our 1st Carnival Cruise and this is a great way to enjoy some coffee and virgin daiquiris and not have a huge bill at the end of the cruise.
Thank you! I've had the pleasure of watching all cruise related vids on the channel and helped me so much for my Aug cruise on the Liberty. I personally just added cash to my Sign& Sail card at the guest service prior before onboard waiting to get called. And just checked the balance once a day which was convenient for us.
Wow! I learned a lot! For me it is better if I put real cash on my sign and sail card when I get onboard. I did not know a person could do that. You have helped me plan my financial situation! Thank you so much! Luvya from CC 😊💜😘
I did everything you mentioned in the video, cruise, bar, and my own cash was added to my S&S card on our first cruise last month. This cruise was very interesting in all aspects, but we are going again next September, and I hope to be able to board and have enough money loaded or in my pocket and not stress one bit over it. The fist cruise was definitely a trial run. Thanks again for all of your tips and advice.
Went on my first cruise this past May. Have my second one booked next September. Just like you, I’d never do the Bar Cash. It limits you too much. I don’t feel the need to do Cruise Cash either. Like you said, use it or lose it. I will always just use my credit card attached to my sail and sign card or add cash to it on board.
I like you’ll T-shirt’s, so funny!!!! You answered my questions, I know I’m more then likely not to spend all my cruise cash, so I better just add “cash” to my sign & sail card; I’m trying to avoid adding a credit card or bank card. Thanks for sharing
You’re the best! Your videos make me feel like I’ve gotten all the insider information from my friends, and I’m feeling much more confident about my first cruise. Oh, and I think Sail & Sign is clearly the way to go!!
Thank you both for the video information. Enjoy yourselves in Mexico. We was gifted a cruise on the Carnival Liberty and you have taken all our worries away and answered questions we did not even know too ask. Thank you both
Thank you so much for this information. I am a first time cruiser and I didn't know how any of this worked. After viewing this video I will definitely be putting cash on my Sail card vs Cruise Cash/Bar Cash. 11 days away from my first cruise date.
This is a good explaination of how to fund the Cruise Cash. We were going to use a credit card, but now will use cash instead. Thank you so much for all the videos you've done. We've watched alot of them and they have all been helpful for our first cruise.
I purchase cruise cash because every cruise... my cabin mate doesn't want to purchase the cheers package... it's a great alternative to the cheers package, it's does keep you on budget... but, if the money runs out, you can add more at customers service, if you see fit... I think purchasing the cruise cash is a way to have the cheers package in a limited form... cruise cash doesn't mean unlimited purchases as the cheers package, but its better than not having it... also, if there's funds still left on the card, I usually go to the casino and play the rest of the money in a slot... cruise cash is my second best friend... cruise cash is just right for me and my cabin mate... no one is forced to purchase something they won't use or need...
I was understanding if one person per cabin bought the cheers package all adults in the cabin 21 and up had to buy cheers package…I didn’t know bar cash was another option?

I’m leaving for my cruise on Thursday and I booked with a $500 on board credit and I use that to purchase my drinks, gifts, liquor and the dining that is not free on the ship. I did this on my last cruise and nothing was taken off my credit card because I made sure I used all of my On Board Credit
Add cash: you can get this back Cruise Cash: Use it or loose it. So is the only benefit of cruise cash the ability to preorder and not wait in a line? Sorry I’m going to be a first timer.
Maybe we didn’t clarify as much as we e hoped. The sign and sail is the access card you use for everything. It’s how you fund it that makes the difference (cash or credit/debit). Either way it’s still the sign and sail card. 🥰

Sign n Sail card all the way, I'm planning my first sail and this was gem
Sign and sail is your access card. You’d have to decide how you fund it
Y'all are the best !! My husband, 3 year old daughter, and I are going on our 1st cruise for Halloween! I found all of your videos super helpful, I just keep binge watching all of them lol thank y'all !!!
Thank you, we are sailing out in March 23. this has been really helpful.
Thanks for the great information! about to set sail and just stumbled up on this program. This helped us decide the best route to go.
GOALS!!! Going on my first trip and this is very helpful!
Thanks for the information. Sign & Sail all the way...
Sign and sail is the card you have to find so it’s either credit/debit or cash.
Thank you! Answer's so many questions on which package to go with! Definitely using the sign and sail card!
You have to use the card regardless. It’s how you fund it that makes the difference
Thanks! Good explanation of differences in cruise cash vs other prepaid cards
This was soooo helpful, I been on 9 cruises and I never paid attention to this😂. now I know 😂😂Thanks👍🏾
Thank yall for this video because I was debating! You guys are awesome. I love all of your videos I've seen so far. Thanks for the info!
OMG your shirts are so adorable!
Thank you so much. This will be my first cruise in April. Your videos have been so helpful with planning my cruise.
Hey Lynette and Stanley👋🏾 you two have explained it well. I appreciate it. Sail and sign card would be my way of spending. I’m liking that I would get it back if I don’t spend it all.
Wow thank you for sharing your tips. 😊
Love yall!!! I be clicking the like button before yall start🤣😂
We appreciate ya!
I bought some cruise cash on advance, but not too much. Then I will add cash to my SS card as the cruise goes on. I didn't want to get stuck with unused cash but I wanted to use as a Budget device. First cruise in 2 days. You guys have been so helpful
Very smart
Heyyyyy, family! I’ve been MIA working OT but, I’m back! You two look great! Love when you keep us informed! Catching up of all the videos I missed! Much love 💜💜💜💜
