The thing i love about this scene is that Ace was gonna prove his power in the world by challenging the strongest with his strength alone, not by revealing his bloodline as being son of King of the pirates. The thing i love about this scene is that Ace was gonna prove his power in the world by challenging the strongest with his strength alone, not by revealing his bloodline as being son of King of the pirates. That would've made ace look like a snotty nosed brat, and eventually Luffy's rival but with bad intent. Oda wrote this thing just right man.
