I find that most people who hate this have never get past the opening. If you wait 10 minutes or so it smells fantastic. I personally tend to ignore openings on perfumes as they are so short lived they are almost irrelevant. The real world experience of the smell is after 10/20 minutes.
Wore Red Tobacco yesterday. 3 sprays on my skin and some how I can still smell it on my winter vest today. Beast Mode!!!
The first time that I smelled this I was blown away! It's awesome!!!!
Finally got a decant of red tobacco. I was worried it wouldn’t be for me. WOW was I wrong I LOVE this one. As soon as my decant is empty I am getting a full bottle

I don't understand the complaints about the opening. This fragrance is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. This is an experience!!!
I never found the opening offensive either. I mean it's not as gorgeous as the dry down is but certainly not off putting. This fragrance is just straight up catnip to me when my husband wears it. This one Tom Ford Tobacco Oud and Amouage Interlude Man.
Believe it or not, I get more compliments from Red Tobacco than anything else I own. I only spray once behind each ear. It lasts an eternity and only need 2 sprays. People get wafts when they walk past you and the best reactions are when someone comes in for a hug. I wear this in the summer just as much as I do in the winter!
And yes, it does last 3-4 washings if you spray it on your clothes. I know first hand!!

I heard that latest batch (2022-2023) has been reformulated, some people complained about the performance isn't beast mode anymore. Is it true?
It's one of the sexiest fragrances I've smelled on a man. Same category as Tom Ford Tobacco Oud or Amouage Interlude Man. An Uber masculine, oriental beast of a fragrance and on the right guy in the right outfit absolute catnip to women. All the basic Bros would call fragrances like these old man scents or even say they smell like animal urine or feces but that shows you just how uncultured said individuals are. This fragrance is for the suave, jetset, supermodel type guy wearing a tailored suit and driving a Lamborghini along the beach at night is Malibu. One wiff of red Tobacco on such a man would send me straight to heaven. Blue fragrances and bubble gum clubbing scents don't do a thing for me. I love the mysterious exotic orientals based around tobacco, Oud, and incense. Absolute perfection.
Self Christmas gift this year and a total blind buy. Loved it instantly. First test spray on my arm at night was still a noticeable skin scent most of the following day. Apparently some got on my clothes, just finished laundry and the scent is still there
The scent that got on my shirt was from a full wear, not from a misfire when I tested it on my arm... Just in case there was any confusion

I enjoy RT, but dont find the opportunities to wear it often, even when cold weather comes to Houston. I lean more toward Herod or Pure Havane for a Tobacco fragrance. I need to get a sample of Naxos for comparison...
Red Tobacco is more comparable to Tom Ford Tobacco Oud than anything else really. I find them both extremely sexy on a well dressed, jetset looking type of man.
I want to like Red Tobacco, but the opening is just syrupy to me and I can't. Glad I sampled. Love Mancera.

Well, in the case of mancera and montale loudness really seem to be an accord😅 I only own this one from mancera and intense caffee from montale. the pungent sweetness at first by both reminds me of those gummy candies... this loudness and performance comes with a price of depth and richness of nuances. But at the same time, the sort of main accord on both is sooo damn good if you get to it that it still is very rewarding and enjoyable. Got the red tobacco 5 days ago. Immidietly decided to sell it, but it somehow sticks.... Have used it 3 times (3 sprays max and only on the skin) and not planning on getting rid of it anymore🤣 In love with it.....🎉 I assume that maccerating will polish it to become smoother and better. I heard somewhere that 60 ml is more resistant than 120 ml. Allegedly, a more diluted version of perfume is poured into a larger volume. Well, 120 ml can't cost only $25 more. Is it true, who knows??

Worn by the right guy with the right look in the right outfit a fragrance like Red Tobacco, Tom Ford Tobacco Oud, or Amouage Interlude Man can be absolute catnip to women. Your basic bro or gym douche certainly wouldn't wear it as they will always gravitate towards Sauvage or Eros or any other Blue or bubblegum type scent. They would likely say red Tobacco smells like an old man or some other idiotic remark. The truth is these mysterious expensive smelling oriental fragrances are far more of a turn on. Just make sure you are dressed well like in a tailored Italian suit for example and all sorts of classy women will compliment you.
It was covertly reformulated early 2022 and anyone barely noticed. The opening is noticeable less harsh and the juice color itself changed from dark amber to light yellow. Drydown is weaker too.
So it’s not worth it in 2023?

@@unknownbutknown6814 Even If I know how much more potent it was before, yeah I think it's still worth it. Anyway most people probably don't/won't like the harsher opening it had before. It just has shorter longevity now.

As many DNAs as I've smelled within this "spicy, smoky circle," I think one of the main ones that has done it for me for the longest would be Parfums de Marly's Carlisle. I mean, given the price, I'd probably opt for Red Tobacco as the more "budget" option of this scent character, but I've liked Carlisle relatively more than the constituents: Red Tobacco, Alexandria's Hafez 1984, Carolina Herrera's Mystery Tobacco, and Navitus Parfums Virtus -- mainly because the PDM has a good rounding to the scent without being too spicy or overblown or dense, like being "in your face" strong. I think there have been some reformulation issues as of late with Carlisle, but it is still pretty potent. However, I highly suggest trying Red Tobacco as a backup to this scent character...but please please please sample this first to see if it works for you because this is POWERFUL.

At 3 sprays I get around 7 feet projection. In Illinois winter. B careful with this one.

Quick question - when you own so many fragrances, how do you use them before they ‘go off’. I own about 15 and my girlfriend thinks I have a problem.
I get asked the same, but as far as I'm aware, as long as you store them well, they shouldn't go off.

I got this recently, 2022 batch, the screw cap bottle looks and feels cheap, Mancera should really evolve this into a magnet cap with an inner redish color.
But it is so goddamn strong, you cannot smell this in close range, this is an open field fragrance for winter, it doesn´t go away even after 12+ hours, yes it´s nuclear.
Scent is good if you like tobacco with oud and saffron and sinnamon, and incense ...ironically it has green apple and pear, I think that´s a joke from Pierre Montale.
BUT, this is PURE MASCULINE TESTOSTERONE, if testosterone had a scent, this would be, women love this thing in the air, you look bad boy+1 with this

I love Red Tobacco on my husband it's a great replacement for his discontinued Tom Ford Tobacco Oud. Amouage Interlude Man is another favorite. You just have to be dressed immaculately to pull these types of fragrances off. Tailored Italian suit with some Ferragamos for example.
