Wow. I mean your knowledge ( as it should be being a perfumer ) is next level. The way you break this down means anybody can understand just what they’re getting. I’ve only recently got into fragrances and have been watching many different reviews etc. however. Your honesty is apparent in your videos. You are the only one I now totally trust when it comes to fragrances and if they’re actually any good. I have a hard candy 50ml due today. My first purchase from yourself. You really are a gem in the fragrance world and so likeable. Truly inspiration Aaron ! 10/10 from me.
It's amazing how organic your reviews seem. It might not be noticeable but to me it's quite clear you had an "A" image of it at the beginning (which you also liked) but then towards your final thoughts you kept getting whiffs of it, and due to its massive transformation, (since many people indeed don't love the opening but love the mid& dry-down) it seemed that the image "B" won you over more and more, and even inspire you as you said. That's just what people love about your channel, I'm sure. Being genuine, showing your human colors, breaking it down to a basically scientific level, and of course the moving hands! Please keep it up sir 👏🏻
You're right Aaron, it improves a lot as it dries down. When I first smelt this in Selfridges after hearing rave reviews I was initially disappointed, but after about 15-20 mins I couldn't stop smelling my wrist! An hour later I walked back in and bought 120ml of it. The dry down reminds me of a dryer, less rich Side Effect by Initio. Great review mate.
I've watched several reviews of Red Tobacco, but yours convinced me to buy it. I liked your enthusiastic presentation, resembling an orchestra conductor bringing out the various instrumental components of the complex assemblage. Good job, maestro.
It's so worth a purchase. Similar to Tom Ford Tobacco Oud or Amouage Interlude Man. They smell phenomenal on the right guy dressed the right way say in a tailored Italian suit for example. Definitely not for your basic gym douche bros.
I absolutely love this fragrance. My second Niche fragrance I ever purchased. The first was Mancera Instant Crush. I really love your reviews. You give more and more. Lots of moving hands.
I’m new to taking fragrances seriously and got this a few days ago.. I could not believe such a vast difference in quality existed between typical designer stuff and this entry level niche point. Got to try out Instant Crush as well but the depth of this blew me away. What an interesting composition. It was still on my skin after I showered the next morning as well. Insane performance and it just keeps on projecting..
THIS is the performance I desire from my fragrances. So far I only have 5 that work the way you described. I have GOT to add "Red Tobacco" to my collection!!!

Great review Aaron! People always dump on this stating it is too harsh (probably just because it is a Mancera, if it were MFK or PDM may be they would talk differently). I have always loved this. I never understood the "extremely harsh opening". For me as you said it is smooth.

I’ve had several decants of this and I finally got a full bottle yesterday. I absolutely love it, and smelling it brings me back to the early ‘80s being around my dad when he smoked a pipe and wore Lagerfeld. It triggers tons of nostalgia for me. Mancera in general are a very solid niche house. High quality fragrances that are very affordable.
@@flightgravity7483 Because this is just a cheap chemical nuclear bomb. I don't know how a so-called perfumer can stand this shameful concoction. Montale is a hack and a disgrace to perfumery.

I watched a few of your reviews, I like how you reflect the aromas, I also like your objectivity. So a new subscriber. Regarding Red Tobacco, I have a large 120 ml bottle and I don't think one life is enough to run out. Only two sprays last 20 hours, even after two showers. The aroma is very beautiful, especially when the opening is over and the dry part remains. Greetings!
I’ve been wearing this today for the second time from a sample, the first time I liked it, this time I’m REALLY liking it and I’m definitely buying a bottle when they get cheaper around Christmas. A gift to me for me… The longer it’s on the more I like it… I’m also pretty sure my older sister will hate it which means I’m gonna wear it every time I see her. Lol!
Thank you Aaron, your review made me purchase this as my first niche. Before even spraying I was intimidated with many reviewers complaining about the opening. But my bottle is beautiful right from opening to the eternal dry down. After 6 months it gets even better and smoother, richer. I wonder if others have non-genuine bottles. Mine is screw cap, hv checked on the bottle and packaging weight for authenticity. I really enjoy the incense and heavenly vanilla with light tobacco. I only hv a small collection of 20 fragrances or so, have tried around 100 decants of mostly niche, and Red Tobacco’s is up there with Naxos, Reflection Man, old batch Layton, Gisada Ambassador intense in terms of boldness, projection, longevity, most important is my enjoyment and how I feel when wearing it the whole day. Last many days on clothes, more than 16 hours on skin. I prefer this over Carlisle, but there is time and place for both. Tropical weather mostly above 90 deg, mainly in air conditioned environment. I imagine this is even better in winter, as it generate warmth on skin when I spray under my shirt. Beautiful balsamic incense vanilla continuously wafting and projecting, love this.
First time I tested it I didn’t like it and walked out of the boutique, one hour later I was getting this beautiful strong waft and was really wondering who has that perfume! Little did I know, went back to the boutique and picked it up. Now I really do enjoy the opening. In my top 5 🔥
My most complimented winter frag over last 2 years by far .on my second bottle.perfomance and sillage are amazing .love the stuff . Love your chanel and your perfumery Aaron From Loch Lomond Scotland 🏴💪👌
In the dry down this one shines. Really warm, woody, tobacco vanilla. And the pouch is handy for travelling and it keeps the frag dark and safe when stashed. My only doubt about Mancera is the use of phthalates. That's a fixative that gives the perfume extra longevity. Excellent review as always!👌
I love how you review fragrances, always look forward to your opinion on scents. I got a free sample of Red Tobacco when I bought another fragrance, and the moment I sprayed it I knew I needed a full bottle, and the more it settled and dried the better the scent. It lasts forever on clothes...can usually still smell it on my jacket a day or two later.
I have been ordering a shit ton of samples lately. I know I know retail therapy and all. The first thing I do when I pick what frag to wear I look to see if there is an ATH review. Why yes Aaron, I have my sample of Mancera Red Tobacco. I am engaged with my higher self. Let's get testing.

There are brands who sell niche perfumes with simple packaging. I think that is done to keep the cost lower so it could reach out to a wider audience for a better price. An excellent packaging is expected for a niche perfume but I like the hybrid version as well where juice is niche but packaging is simple.
I'm wearing RT right now and I love love love it! I'm rotating through a number of samples but so far I can def see this becoming my signature fragrance! It lasts really well too, I'm getting an easy 8+ hours with good projection. I like that its spicy and sweet but not TOO sweet.
Its a bofors punch of nutmeg in the beginning. Guys, just have 2 small sprays behind ears. Its opening can be cloying and lasts forever. A wonderful gem post dry down though.
Wow you liked it right off the initial first sprays lol. I just got it delivered a few days ago and when i first sprayed it I was like is this really what it smells like? Did someone replace the juice with WD-40 or something? I’m not kidding when saying that. But bc I was busy with work etc. I’ve been sitting on it and I kept smelling a beautiful lingering Tobacco scent in my place. I was like is that gorgeous smell I keep getting a whiff of Red Tobacco? So I sprayed it one last time and waited for this dry down that everyone keeps talking about and just like a magic trick abracadabra, it became that beautiful tobacco scent! So now I’m keeping it! Love how professional you are in your videos.
Yeah , to me it reminds Carlisle too, like a brother. Cheaper than pdm but still good indeed. To me Aoud Vanille is the best from Mancera, smoky ,vanilla fragrance
I agree Aaron this is not only value for money but a very evolving fragrance and the drydown is amazing. Have owned it since last year i tend to overspray it as i love it but then get nose blind.

@@AaronTerenceHughes Cheers Aaron thanks for the reply. Not sure how purchasing in Ireland works now but I will do.Wish you continuous success with your company
Cough syrup, wet dense tobacco and cinnamon. Unsure if I can always handle it on myself but the sillage is sensational, I always comment when I smell this on other people so I think that the sillage is where the real magic is rather than snorting it on the skin up close, which is exactly what Josephine at Jus de Rose says about Miller Harris's 'Scherzo'. I dislike it but something magical happens in the sillage with that one too and I have the same experience with it as she does. For tobacco-forward fragrances, which I love, Red Tobacco is nowhere near my top ten.
Believe it or not many in America care about perfumery using safe ingredients and following the correct legal procedures etc. My girlfriend takes it all the way to the affect on the environment from making the different aroma chemical and the natural of courses. I count on reputable brands making products that are skin safe. I honestly have no clue about the environment affects of the other processes, whether they’re good, heathy, safe, damaging etc ?
I've just received my delivery of this, and on first impression, it really reminds of Acqua di Parma Oud, which I love. Yes I think this blind buy has been worth the risk.
I absolutely know I can't afford Aaron's perfumes but I am desperate to smell some of them. I live 1hr 15 mins away from the shop and visit Manchester infrequently but I know for a fact I will be factoring in a visit when I next go. I do think though even though I'll be sampling the fragrances, that I'll be devastated if Aaron isn't there and i dont get to meet him lol. He's become somewhat of a celebrity to me during the beginning of my fragrance journey. I am subscribed to probably too many fragrance channels but Aaron is the chap I'd most like to meet because of his sheer skill (and soothing voice).

I don't know if you'll read this comment, but my opinion of you changed tremendously from when I first saw you on fragmental. I got frustrated with you because you talked bad about some of my favorite fragrances, but now that I've watched your own channel, my thoughts about you have completely turned around. You just have a more experianced nose than mine, and an older and refined one. You're an expert in your own field, and I love the real sweet generic fragrances. I realised that I don't dislike you, quite the opposite now, actually. I love your videos and you as a person, you're just a really sweet intelligent person, and I'm glad I stopped judging you so harshly. You are now one of my favorite channels, and I humbly appologize for being so quick to get frustrated. Have an amazing day, keep up the amazing work, and keep those moving hands dancing all across the screen. I love your work!
Back then I didn't understand why people liked what they liked and this journey has helped me understand about people.I also didn't know how to relax and be me. Putting yourself out there is a skill. Ive had to learn this quick. The more I am me the more people like it. Which is lovely. I get frustrated that companies with huge amounts of money take advantage of peoples hard earned money. I get frustrated at the same stuff over and over again. Im doing my best to help my subscribers spend there money wisely. I get asked a lot if Il do sponsored reviews. So do a positive review for money. I can assure you that I dont do this for money so I always say no. Its important to keep this channel completely free thinking and honest. :)

Love your reviews man and i love this fragrance and i pefer it to the PDM one
Love your honesty Aaron….
Excellent review, full of positive info and vibes, put a smile on my face and set me up for the weekend nicely!
Thanks for the review Aaron I’m really interested in your “Tabac” fragrance hope to purchase sometime this year. I’d love to hear a breakdown about it from yourself. Great content as usual.
I do some videos talking about my work. Tabac is heavy duty tobacco. Long lasting and fills a room
@@AaronTerenceHughes Cheers Aaron thanks for the reply. Not sure how purchasing in Ireland works now but I will do.Wish you continuous success with your company
I couldn't stop thinking T.M. Pure Havane and was not to crazy about it
Cough syrup, wet dense tobacco and cinnamon.
I picked this up off Notino for a good price and really enjoy it and going on the scent journey with you. Nice haircut by the way 😋
First review I've watched of yours. Very enjoyable, subscribed right away. Just ordered this one and can't wait to smell it.
How is it?
@@dstew949 fantastic! I don't think it's quite as "beastly" as I've heard it described, but it smells wonderful and lasts quite a while.
As with most ppl. The opening 20 or so minutes I did not like however the dry down is so good.
Because of the opening I have to pick the PDM over it.
I literally just got your santal and blood orange in. I'm testing them both right now. So far Santal is blowing my socks off. 🦄
Santal has a paper label. Does that mean it's an older batch?
Love your reviews,- such an interesting content and such an expressive personality 🥰 I personally enjoy Red Tobacco a lot❤️❤️
Hey if I send you some cologne would you review it please? I'd really like to get your insight.
I would not want to be that company that gets fined for using prohibited raw materials
Really enjoying your reviews, I was torn between this scent and a few others (budget) , this video decided it for me, thanks.
I've just received my delivery of this, and on first impression, it really reminds of Acqua di Parma Oud, which I love.
Yes I think this blind buy has been worth the risk.
If my fragrance doesn't have ethymotol whipping through the base I don't want it 😅
I absolutely know I can't afford Aaron's perfumes but I am desperate to smell some of them. I am subscribed to probably too many fragrance channels but Aaron is the chap I'd most like to meet because of his sheer skill (and soothing voice).
your expanse knowledge of perfumery attracts me to filling up this cart on by our website
Love the technical bit. Thank you
Fantastic review as usual sir. I will buy
Thanks Aaron,great job. Perfekt
Can you make a video about perfumes high on naturals that won't cost me a liver?
It's definetly a head turner.Whenever i spray it i feel LUX,big love!For the money is unbeatable value.
I was thinking of making this my new sig scent, and ATH just confirmed it.
If you were an officer on the Starship Enterprise, you would possess the intellect of Data and Counselor Troi's insight. I appreciate both of those qualities here, on your channel. Thank you!!
Amazing review as always
You should check out JPG Ultra Male and Armani Code Absolu 🔥
I’ve just recorded them
@@AaronTerenceHughes can’t wait 👌🏽
“Instant Crush” by Mancera is my best from the house but I feel you wouldn’t like it. Love to hear your ethereal thoughts.🌈🦄🌈🦄🌈
Instant crush is awesome
Baccara 540 vibes
@@Eevanova initially yes, but it becomes something less “wispy “ than BR540. I prefer it and so does my wallet.
this is the best juice ever: smells great, last long, so much oil in it, will have your skin shining. pure beast mode.
Hi Aaron. I’d like to see a review of Mercedes Benz Club Black.
Been waiting to see your opinion on this one I have been thinking of buying it for a hot minute. Now having seen your review I think I might have to go ahead and get it.
How is it?
@@dstew949 not gonna lie... I still haven't picked it up yet lol
I found this similar to Oajan from PDM, just that Oajan is a little bit more gourmand from the honey, and a bit. creamier. but the dry down on both is quite close.
thank you Aaron... 10/10 review 👍👍👍
