Missouri River Catfishing in the Extreme Summer Heat

went out on the Missouri River with a buddy of mine. got an early start cause the temps were to hit 100 degrees by mid morning. set out to fish log jams, wing dikes and creek mouths. was hoping to get on some big fish before it was too hot to fish.

Just a thought, I would move that rod rack a little more forward so you don't have to step up on the bench to fish. Seems like an accident waiting to happen, especially at night and in heavy current.

Some good looking spots to fish.
Sitting in the shade seem to be the best spot that day to get the skunk out.
That was some brutal heat to fish in.
Nice tip on the pre made leaders.

Hot day! Not much shad till the end... o hate tying rigs on the water or on the bank for that matter...my eyes aren't what they used to be..always tie my rigs at home under good lighting. Thanks for watching bud 👊😀

Know that boat ramp well. Used to live on Jeff and caught a lot of big cats. Usually I'd do my best right behind those river barges or end of the wing dams for monsters flats...even caught big sturgeon and once even caught a walleye....we're living in Fayetteville now but sure miss the mighty mo...subed ya can't wait to see what ya pull out next. Have you ever fished Murphys ford?

Thanks for the sub bud, no I've never fished Murphys ford...have to go check it out tho..pulled my pb blue from mokane access in June 59.67 lbs off the bank. Caught on vid.
