Yall were robbed in 89. I know the guard and drumline weren't quite as clean as 88 but no way should this have placed where the green polo squad had you slotted.
Aside from from one or two Japanese corps each year that approximate it, it's impossible to hear this kind of ensemble sound live anymore (so these videos will have to do). A real shame
I had a visual technician who marched Madison Scouts 2003 and Blue Devils 2004, and he is legitimately terrified of bent leg marching for what it’s done to his knees.
@@claytonwachholz1343 Heh-heh, not on THIS run-thru they weren't. What was it? Sudden re-write of part of the drill as soon as they hit town? And, btw, there is no evidence that the heel-toe or the bent-knee stuff actually does anything to cut down injuries. I'm talking abt real injuries here, not the ones all my music major friends were so afraid of in case their "lip" got swollen & somehow ruined their "maybe/"I sure hope so..." pro "careers".
love watching the skill and technique present during this show. that opener was harder than the whole 88 show, we made it look too easy!
Wow ! That brought back so many memories. It was HOT that day !

I think we were too !

Dan feeney was the man
God, what a great show. I almost slightly prefer it to ‘88…. maybe.
Hmmm... I see why the need for the run-thru.
I love this show. I prefer it to '88!
Always loved that "terror turn" in the opener.
Love the power behind the scouts, really enjoy it
Where did that tenor setup come from ? Seem to remember Glassmen using it for a couple years in the 90’s.
Those cold sop entrances at about 8:53 or so were always so cool...
...and where..maybe...they got the idea...ua-cam.com/video/e6EwIDQT7Yc/v-deo.html
Angular knees. No "straight-leg" dance postures. How did that work out for the particpants, 20-some-odd years later?

I’m doing fine
And by the way our feet were in time
