Another less destructive way to do it is to place all of the layers into a group and simply duplicate the group (and naming it appropriately of course). It is kind of like making a Smart Object. The only real issue with this is the incredible amount of system memory that it could potentially use. I do use the Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E a LOT though. :)
I use this sometimes, but have learned the hard way that if you are doing any compositing or adding a texture layer, then do Stamp Vis after that, you can no longer adjust the opacity or any other quality of the added layer(s). The biggest benefit for me in my workflow is the ability to use the ACR filter after making several Ps adjustments and see the net effect. So it's a trade-off for sure. I still don't really understand why Stamp Visible is hidden in Ps though - that seems odd.
There are so many ways to use the Stamp Visble Layer I learnt the hard way too. I know I can't understand why its a hidden feature, I used to call the shortcut "The Claw" :)
Excellent explanation! Thank you
@@jasonlacey5979 thanks for watching 🙂 glad it explained what a stamp visible layer is.
