Some of the new stuff pumpkins are putting out is absolutely brilliant. I've been a pumpkins fan for 21 years and was even lucky enough to see them play London. I've always thought that Machina never gets enough credit for the incredibly important piece of art that it is. Billy is my favourite song writer of all time, epic guitar player, wonderfully beautiful and complex lyrics and a talented poet.
I've been through the whole Pumpkins catalogue, I have Zwans album, Billy's solo work and every album on vinyl.
James is an outstanding talent and Jimmy, well, do I need to tell you? Best drummer of all time.

@Tim Jacuzzi I certainly have my friend. Astral planes is an outstanding alternative song and the whole album as a collection of songs is very good. I understand that its not the kind of music that everyone likes and alot of Pumpkin fans probably wtf, but understanding that Billy likes every album to be as different as possible from the last is what makes him my favourite song writer. He might be a bit of an arrogant twat sometimes but he's a musical genius and I could talk about him all day. Have you read his poetry book? Very bizarre but brilliant

This may well be the only album I will actually purchase this year. After all the turmoil of 2020 I need this kind of beauty in my life.

Luucckkkkkyyyy people. I was 5 in ‘94. One of my first memories was seeing the “tonight tonight” music video on tv at the beach with my family. Even so young, I was struck with awe. I guess around 7 I started to buy the old CDs and listen over and over on my portable CD player. Then hearing “Ava adore” the first time and trying to swallow that album took a while. And last but not least, after a year of waiting... hearing “everlasting gaze” on my alarm clock radio and being just annihilated by that song... machina will always be my favorite. But this new album might be the best one since the breakup.
I can’t tell you how much I’m loving this new stuff. Everything has been a 100% hit with me so far.

Reminds me of the chromatics on first listen(the synth line is the same as the song shadow.) Cool stuff and the album is taking shape as this ode to fall/winter and isolation. Very twin peaks vibe too.

100% after Travels and Alienation I was expecting some tight epic new feeling yet classic Pumpkins - This is not that and I am still loving it.

Wow! In love w this one! The tenderness of the recent solo aciustic material shines through on this meshed w some Future Embrace/synth solo work w a dash of 80s Pumpkins. IN LOVE as per usual. Thus era of Pumpkins is worth being a fan this long.

@@bradhooper315 This is Adore if you removed all the emotion and depth. In my opinion of course. Adore was a different direction but it made up for it by having arguably the best lyrics of Billy's career. I feel nothing from this new album.

BC has a way of not repeating musical styles from one album to the next, yet every song still has that classic BC feeling to it.
