Smiling at her tremendous gift and feeling heartbroken her voice remains attached to the past. Smiling also she had the courage to step away. She is missed in the musical world
Sorry, Marion - I have no information .... for years I sometimes checked the internet, if something new were online .... but never got an reliable information :-(
I've had her NO Mermaid release for years, and I liked it--my favorite song off it is Loose Ends---this is the first time I've actually seen a video of her performing----what a nice song, and a really nice voice.
Wow. . . "An evil kind of sorrow makes me wait until tomorrow for what I really want today". This woman is so talented and her music reminds me that I have no reason to be unhappy. . . thank you.
Why are so many of these comments pleas for her to record more songs? Her talent took her where it took her and we were the lucky recipients. Where she is now and where she goes next is her business. She was a poet and musician who produced some extraordinary, enigmatic and very singular songs. There has been nobody quite like her in my experience and I'm quite happy to listen to her relatively limited output over and over again. Good luck, Ms Lohan. Thank you for the gift.
We're not saying it's any of our business. We're saying our opinion is we want to hear more of her. Our 'business' is to state what we want. Her 'business' is to give it to us ... or not.
Fantastic!! I agree with everyone else ( on the other songs uploaded) that it's an absolute crying shame that she gave up music. An unbelievable talent, under-rated & hardly known. It's really frustrating for her fans to know that she'll never release any more music. When I watch this it just rams it home even more!!! Classy woman, great songs, great voice!
In my view the best singer song-writer ever. The only artist who's LP's, albeit only two, I can listen to entirely from beginning to end, i.e. every track a winner - stunning! Even on my mix tape I have at least five or six of her records, compared to the one or seldom two for others.
My Q is... WHY ON EARTH DID SINEAD STOPPED SINGING??? I demand to know!!! I got this cd when it first came out and day by day I LOVE the No Mermaid cd even more! She has such a powerful yet passionate vocal and her lyrics are...just Aaaah... Sinead makes a lot of 'so called' singers look like a clown... PLEASE GET BACK IN THE STUDIO FOR US!
C King: Do you know Sinead personally? Your comment makes it sounds like you do...if you please pass a message to her that she has a HUGE fan in Atlanta, Ga who can't stop listening to her No Mermaid album even after all these years...
So little people know about her vocal and lyrical talent... nah can't blame her... i adore her voice ... calms me down...puts me in a different state of mind.
Pat:: Far as i read she is still in Ireland. That is what i read last time online somewhere. She is a mother raising family... some odd strange reason, she detached herself from us :(
HI, wish you would start up and get some and albums going Sinead, had a rest now come on it will be for so many to hear your beautiful voice, lyrics and melody's take the world by surprise. Thanks beyond words.
The quality of our dreams are both a reflection of our thoughts and actions as well as a general foreshadowing of the fate of our souls in the next life...A nightly, temporary karma that beckons us to change - for the good - so as to avoid a more permanent karma... Complexity(🌎)+Beauty(🌷) =Intent(❤️) The Figure 8 Analogy: An analogy on life, death, the dream-state and the symbolism intertwined within the human experience... We human beings are not moving in the - abstract - motion of a straight line towards death (for instance, the numerical straight line of say 1-89), rather we are moving in the motion of a figure 8...The Figure 8 is a natural repeating pattern that is divided into two halves and is thus the perfect symbol to represent the human life cycle and our two primary states of existence that we are continuously moving in and out of -the awake state and the dream-state. When we awake from sleep, we come full circle to when we fall back asleep (represented by the bottom half of the figure 8), and when we go into the dream-state, we come full circle to when we awake from the dream-state (represented by the top half of the figure 8). Upon death, the figure 8 of life untwines, but it is not the body untwining from the mind that this analogy represents. It's two states of mind untwining to form a larger state of mind...(8->0)...Because the awake state is really a state -of mind, with our body's physical reality "consciously" intertwined, and the dream-state is also a state -of mind, with our body's physical reality "subconsciously" intertwined. Therefore; upon death, these two states "of mind" untwine to form a larger state of mind...A state that has all the potentialities of the dream world (flying, telepathy, psychokinesis, etc) combined with all the actualities of the awake world(nature, form, bonds, etc). This I refer to as the "transitional analogy." While conceiving this analogy I realized life and death must be perceived - from one point of view - as seperate entities(the transitional analogy(8-0), but must also be perceived - from another point of view - as inseparable entities(the symbolic analogy), both of which are ultimately linked by the dream state. The symbolic analogy consists of the untwined figure 8 of life/the 'circle of death' - abstractly -overlapping the 'circle of life'/the earth, with the overlappment representing the dream-state (like the common area in a venn diagram) which implies that the dream-state is just as much a part of life as is of death - by which semi-explains precognitive dreams, prodromal dreams, "visitations" by deceased relatives, etc, for the dream-state has a foothold in the afterlife - and is based on the premise that "while our body sleeps, our dream-state symbolically represents the state that awaits upon our body's ultimate rest. In other words, while we are lying down and -sleeping/dreaming, this natural process symbolizes where we go when we're ultimately lying down/dead -to a place "like" our dream-state...A state "of mind", with our body's physical bonds eternally engrained and intertwined. 👁~8~👁
Love the way her Cork accent comes out in the this tune.
Such a beautiful haunting voice, I wish she had never stopped putting out music for the public.
Top 5. This Artist has always been one of my favorites. A true writer and her music, beyond words.
What an incredibly talented Lady...one of the best singer/songwriters ever to come out of Ireland. Gutted when she quit the scene...
Love this. Loved the entire album.
Smiling at her tremendous gift and feeling heartbroken her voice remains attached to the past. Smiling also she had the courage to step away. She is missed in the musical world
what a pity that she stopped making music - at least publicly .... she's one of my favourite singers :-)

Sorry, Marion - I have no information .... for years I sometimes checked the internet, if something new were online .... but never got an reliable information :-(
Thanks for reply, appreciate it.
:-) .... and let us hope that Sinead is well even without public-musik-making :-)
