    I started watching JK boot videos wondering how they could be so expensive. And after watching them literally beat these boots to life…I wonder how they aren’t more expensive.

    Vibram arctic grip outsoles would make this the perfect winter boot

    I think this the most care I have seen when a JK bootmaker was stitching the boot together. If this boot came in a 6 or 8 inch version, I think it would be a great winter boot here in MN,,,

    These are beautiful boots, but in «JK boots» imagination the Arctic seems a bit warmer then in real life. Such light insulation is good for -15 Celsius in static and only if the boot has a thick insulated insole.

    Can someone from jk respond to me on this?…but I’m wondering why they don’t run the stitching all the way around the boot, but rather they stop at the heal?

    Why didn’t you pull out those screws

    • @jkbootsusa
      @jkbootsusa  Рік тому +1

      The screws are designed to stay in the boot. Long enough to barely break through the midsole and there is still the 9 iron insole protecting your foot on the inside of the boot. If any sharp nail or screw were to break through it will hit the metal plated last and be bent backwards 👍

    Look like great boots but when you put 1000 holes and no waterproof liner there worthless in the winter/snow/ice/water/ ect... I don't care how much oil,cream,butter, mink feces there just not waterproof unless it's goretex, rubber or something comparable and nobody like cold wet feet. They should have a lower wool food bed in them also. Standing on ice and cold concrete just soaks through the bottom and makes for very cold feet. Once again I absolutely love the construction, looks and the possible durability but cold and wet are there enemy I do believe 🤷‍♂️

    • @xochj
      @xochj Рік тому +9

      Goretex and rubber never worked more than about 2 weeks (for me). Solid beeswax has worked for my superduty boots (I use them irrigating) because of the water tension effect (watch a sive dipped in wax, holds water when there are still holes in it) . And in the cold, I put antiperspirant on my feet so they don't get wet. Or, I just use rubber muck boots for very acidic and cold environments.

    • @moline800hdyup4
      @moline800hdyup4 Рік тому +2

      @@xochj I understand exactly what your saying and yes if there's a will there's a way. But it really depends on the person and the upkeep on the boot. Still needs a wool/felt foot bed it helps so much . Just look at the military Mickey mouse/ Bunny boots ... you got to keep that cold off the bottom of your feet to keep the warm. 🤷‍♂️

    • @moline800hdyup4
      @moline800hdyup4 Рік тому +6

      @@xochj and if rubber or Goretex boots only lasted you 2 weeks something is REALLY wrong

      @rainman6080 Рік тому +6

      Do you have a pair or just trolling? Asking for a friend. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ I have regular super duty boots which are extremely warm and dry when properly taken care of and used in the environment they were meant to be used in. It’s just like you don’t use blue jeans as hip waders to hunt ducks in a marsh then complain they leak. Use some common sense.

    • @moline800hdyup4
      @moline800hdyup4 Рік тому +2

      @rainman6080 NO i don't own a pair of "JK ARTIC No2 ULTIMATE WINTER WORK BOOTS but I own lots of Nick's,Drew's,Danner boots and I know wtf I'm talking about when it comes to wet feet . Being a iron worker standing on cold steel and now having a landscape/ tree removal business I know what cold is and living and working in very swampy areas I know that there is a difference between walking through water and standing in it for more than 30 seconds. Like I said they look like amazing boots BUT I was giving my 10 cents because this is America and I'm aloud to and shouldn't have to listen to someone trying to talk $#!+ about trolling... I didn't even know what that was until I looked it up . All I was saying it needs to be waterproof and have wool foot bedding to be called an "ARTIC" boot, especially if this is there 2nd rendition of the boot I just thought they would do more research on what makes a great cold weather boot especially for that kind of money 😳 and I'm the first one to spend entirely to much money on great boots but I also want then to do what there supposed to 😉.
