I ordered some custom full smooth bison 10" OTs and did the extended lead time to save $100, watching these videos is making me more excited every time to get them even though its going to be months still! The leather looks so awesome, and supple as hell. Looks like a dream to wear and break in. Cant wait to get mine!

All great opinions on my end. Customer service answered via email in a respectable amount of business time. Was able to help out with an issue of mines. Jk boots is my first custom boot and with a customer upper, fits like a gloves, and they feel amazing. High remarks on quality and customer service. I dont know if they do this for every boot however I highly recommend open eyelets with hooks with a single open eyelet at the very top of the upper.
The only thing id change is the first rapid stitch they do around the back of the boot to go the entire way around the boot. Then after the outsole has been glued on do the final outer stitch on the vamp. Possibly a more rigid veg tan shank also. Otherwise amazing boot!!🤞
Wow… What a great look. …And what a coincidence. I just ordered some OT bison in the dark brown. While I was on the phone with JT associate, I asked him if they could do a two tone. He said yes, but it would cost extra money over the custom price. I can’t remember what he called it but there will be some additional cost to do this. I stopped with a tow cap, dark brown smooth/rough combo But, they are Sending sample boots to Try on before they get started to work. I’m gonna have to decide if I want to try to do this.
This exact boot (rough/smooth OT bison) is what I want to get. I mainly am in the office, warehouses and outside occasionally. @jkboots, would you recommend the 6 or 8 inch version of this boot? Thanks and love your work!
You've gone too dark with the original bison. The first batch was this great reddish hue and now it's gone to a darker brown, like chocolate, and the canyon bison is just a bleugh tan.
I got a pair of bison OTs back in October that I had ordered in June. Now that I’ve been wearing them for a few months they’ve taken on that reddish hue you mentioned and it is a beautiful color

I like the OT 6" in the Bison but I need the safety toe and EH if available...

I would say both are great options and will be great for office work; if you like a little more ankle support in a boot, I would recommend the 8-inch.
