Great video as a eighty year old ( still active ) cyclist these videos bring back memories of club riding with the Keighley Road Club,we were a club that had a wide range of interests a YHA section those who were into photography as well were keen cyclists, today keen riders would appear to ride as racing men
Some great points there Alan. It seems to be that most average cyclists today have pro peloton bikes with a hefty price tag attached to them too and I think in this group we all believe we are in the Tour De France with 10k to go sometimes. I used to ride with Halifax RC and a guy called Mike Benson trained me in the 1980's. He was an elite rider and a good hill climber.
Another top class video. 5:27 Typical Capricorns ;-) I cycled to Cliviger on Tuesday. Then on the Long Causeway towards Heptonstall. An excellent road and minimal traffic.
Great days ride, speeds and roads. Did Calderdale slipped road last week. This week Ripponden and windy hill, 49 miles, windy but great views. Take care Daz keep safe.
Thanks for making another good film Daz. Enjoyed it very much. Got out this morning and did a 50, headwind on the way out tailwind is ALWAYS good on the way back 😉
Cheers Sophie, I had a cracking tail wind on the way home tonight, the cars on the road were slowing me down again. 50 miles is a good distance to keep the legs in shape too. Good effort.....
Great video daz nice seeing you all especially mike Manchester wheelers 😂 Hey ... how nice the bloke was at the end telling you that you’ve forgot your camera honesty goes along way. Keep up the good work and training see ya soon I’ll defo jump on for full route soon 👍🏻
Nice one Gary, it always looks a great spectacle when a long line of cyclist go through a village and yes the guy saw the camera on the floor as I was parking my bike up. with all of this filming you end up with cameras all over the place, clamped to trees, sign posts etc. I've had my drone fly away from me in the past too and that can be worrying thought when a few hundred quids worth decides it's going back home lol. See you soon pal.
Great ride Daz love malham another good little rise up past that if you had carried on, would have went the A671 way back love that road from Burnley through bacup
Yes I totally agree there are so many great routes to chose from to navigate your way around these parts. There's a lot of areas around Malham that link in the coast to coast rides too.
Another cracking video!! Wonder what that driver thought in the car doing 30mph abiut being overtook by a cyclist lol made me chuckle....I went out on Thursday had some peabrain that overtook me and caused a car coming the opposite way to stop rather quickly!! Was interesting for sure!!
To be fair to the driver I think it becomes a 20 mph zone further down this road but yes when they stick to the legal speed limit (no more, no less) it gets frustrating when your'e doing 38mph and have to slam on lol. You need eyes in the back of your head these days so stay safe Diana.
Wind was hard work last weekend, can definitely feel the seasons changing, we did Glasson Dock so 42 miles into the headwind, was nice coming back though, looking windy for us tomorrow too but only out to Cheshire, enjoyed the video 👍👍
Pretty flat all day for us as we don't need to go near the trough, Wizard tea rooms for us tomorrow at Alderley Edge, not done that one before, should be a fast flat one, have a good one if you lot are out 👍👍
@MrDazP1 great video yet again and on the 13th of this month I am doing a ride around the cheddar gorge and it will be my first time but I am looking to it
That sounds like a fantastic day out Ben. GCN or Global Cycling Network film around there regularly to make films and reviews of bikes as they are based in Bristol. Let me know how you get on and good luck buddy.
Like the great sense of teamwork there , guess this was the bank holiday weekend ride . About nature breaks is it actually legal to take a leak by a country road? Cheers
If you watch to he TDF they are all at it, peeing on the side of the road lol, one of the lads has a medical condition which means he has to go....... Thanks for watching again Buddy.

That's a cracking ride out there, hilly on the outward leg via Dunsop bridge and flat on the return leg via St Michael on to the Wyre.

This is definitely god's country pal.
That manchester road climb outta burnley is KILLAH
Yes it's a long drag for sure
190mph lol does feel like it sumtimes
It is a great feeling buddy but we need to be careful !
Good video mate, but you can't call car drivers sticking to road speed, realistically you should do the same,or you will end up in a bad way my friend
Good point Gordon. It can be a bit frustrating when as a cyclist you can carry speed and the cars slow you down.
