Excited? More relieved than anything. Such an incredible character kid. If he would have left it would have been emotionally devastating for a tiger fan but he did not do that. Thanks Garrett you are the best
I definitely don’t blame Nuss for the losses. He was clearly the best player on the field. He wasn’t perfect, but if we could run the ball even a little bit we probably beat A&M, Florida, and we should’ve beaten USC. Hopefully, he will make the same sort of leap previous QBs have made between junior and senior year. I actually think he will.
LSU has some of the best fans and definitely some of the most ignorant fans. We are lucky Nuss came back and those ignorant fans didn’t drive him away. Thank you Nuss !!!🐅🐅🐅👊👊
Jake said it best. A lot of this hate comments are coming from young, entitled LSU fans that don't know what it's truly like to have a subpar/ par QB at LSU (coming from 22 yr old fan). Garret is far surpassed, just talent-wise, better than 90% of LSU's past QBs and then you compare him to QBs in the country today i'd say he's better than at least 85% of them.
Oh man if I talk smack about Nuss, I get to watch an LSU football game with you? Really? My daughter will want to come. As a little girl, she grew up watching you crashing through that Florida line. For her, you embody LSU football. 😉
It’s probably mostly about the money. LSU was offering $6MM from what I understand and he got $12MM from MI. And I don’t blame him. We would all take that money and run. Under the old system we probably sign him. Hopefully they learn their lesson from this. It is a waste of time to chase a top 30 5 star in a different state where the alumni base is rich. That player will likely just use LSU to gin up a higher offer from the home school and you’ll be left holding the bag. The only exception to this may be CB, DE, DT where I think the position coaches reputation may allow us to still sign 5 star out of staters. Otherwise, It’s best now to focus on talent evaluation of 3-4 star Louisiana kids who won’t get huge NIL offers and make sure your high 4-5 star LA kids stay home by overpaying them if you have too. There are always 3 star LA kids that LSU doesn’t recruit that go play and start for other SEC teams. We can no longer afford to whif on those kids while we star chase out of state players.
Yup, downplay the Nuss Bus turnovers just like a year ago. And then hype LSU from now until opening game like everyone did the last three seasons. And then see what happens.

Honored to have you back! Make that year 2 LSU leap brother!!!
I just saw LSU's schedule for next season. If key players stay healthy, LSU will be in the college football playoffs! #LSU IS COMING #IN NUSS I TRUST
This is one great benefit of the NIL. To have a QB be able to return and not fear that it's going to cost them millions to do so is wonderful.
What? Lol they just paid him millions to come back

Great news. If he can clean up some of the interceptions he can win a Heisman too

No LSU fan is upset about this. If they are, they aren’t fans…hah. Nussmeier gonna be good as fuck next year
Bryce who when he doesn’t get developed like he would like he be in the portal
Nuss Bus🚌⚜️ Lets GEAUX
After this announcement more players hit the portal....read between the lines.
Did he give an Emory hint right at the end? Obviously he gave you the WR’s and Running back. But…was that an Emory hint…
Heisman in coming!
This probably the real reason Bryce decomitted as he might have a shot to be QB1 at Mich

Not good, not good.
The dude is an underachiever just like Kelly. The turnover machine returns!! Can't wait to see him fold under pressure again.
