If you're a boxing fan, then you can appreciate that FMJ makes all his fighters LOOK THE SAME. Clearly its a science that he implements and if you RESPECT the science, you appreciate what he does. You notice the subtleties of him CONTROLLING opponents with his jab; sticking it out to keep distance; pushing opponents shoulders, head, hip; turning his hips even more when punching in the pocket (when others smother their punches up close). Even in the Cotto fight, you can notice his mental edge when Cotto (being the bigger man) started being forced to back up in that fight bc FMJ decided he wanted to fight moving fwd at points (BTW another fight he couldve made easier for himself but DECIDED to make it a tougher fight for the fans)...IMO hes TBE for the subtleties, not the obvious shit ppl see on the surface.

The first fight was not boring at all. Its a way better fight then people give it credit for. Both fighters had great defense. And for me as a fan of boxing since the Ali days. I totally enjoyed it. And enjoyed it more each time i saw it. And after watching it a hand full of times you realize how good it actually was. And i would love to see a rematch. And if Floyd doesn't give Manny the rematch than Manny should just retire.

Nice breakdown. The way to beat floyd is to take away his long range weapons. He relies on his jab, right hands and check hooks when the opponent comes in. At long range you cant beat him. His timing is too good. But if you kept it at middle range, and short range and smother his weapons hes not as effective.
