Tawnee and Jason of Horse Plus Humane Society head to Washington DC to lobby for the horses during the month of December and again in March. They were able to interview a few of the lobbyist they met up with in DC and ask them what it takes to be the voice for equines and end the slaughter pipeline.
Contact congress and let your individual voice be multiplied by the many thousands who need to be contacting congress to get these laws passed.

We as Americans should never put up with animal cruelty!

Things have to change! No lifeform should ever have to suffer like this! If we can change the minds of abusers by changing the laws, then we have just made a giant step forward in how our society should be! Caring, sharing, companionate and feel empathy for all lifeforms.

I do appreciate all of your efforts on behalf of these horses. God Bless Yoruba and your efforts! I can suggest that you should try to get out to the public and get people to protest with you. The larger the crowd the better. News media being present also helps tremendously

You represent equine rescue and if anyone knows equine / animal rescue, you do!

People need to know and our representatives need to do the right thing to protect equines.
Close them, tell them this should be a nonpartisan issue, an issue that doesn’t have to continue with their vote to pass laws that protect equines 🙏

I’ve shared to Facebook under public settings. Then hashtagged all I could about stopping horse slaughter in the USA. The hashtag #horses has over 29 million shares, so hopefully your video will be seen by many horse lovers. I’ve requested that US citizens contact their representatives and ask them to support the safe act and others shown at the end of the film. I’m from the uk, so that is all I can do. If everyone from the uk or outside the USA, that supports horse plus, can do the same, I believe it could help.

To be able to do work to make a substantial change in animal wellfare laws and to be able to let go of the work at the rescue because you know, there is a very competent team back home who runs the shelter perfectly, is amazing!

They need to see what kind of shape. These beautiful horses come in to at that slaughterhouse. These people try to prevent does work. He's getting adopted or whatever because of their animal The abashing these health physical mentally physical. track Evil people bird harmonies, beautiful horses. break bones.
I think Tawny should get Elvis Presley’s exwife to help. Don’t know if she still raise’s Tennessee Walkers, but when Elvis was alive they had Walkers around the 60’s. But theirs at the time it was the natural gated. Then they went to the Big Lick and she said how dumb they were. Can’t understand why they just don’t show how they have the beautiful walk that comes naturally

I truly hope Big Lick can be permanently banned from all horse shows and all barns across the Nation and the World. It is a terrifying practice and so harmful to the horses. I keep seeing snippets of it here on UA-cam and it makes me sick. I flag those videos as soon as I can. Those horses deserve so much better. Thank you for keeping on fighting for these horses and all of those that you save.

The problem is that lobbying also is been done by big pharmacy, foodfactories, all kind of shit products from companies with lots of money and ways. ..
There is a channel using stacks on horses with a fake vet claiming the horses are just fine. They were not allowed to auction a horse in stacks and made a video basically showing the abuse as if it wasn't. I lost it way back in my history views. But there are so many people still defending it. Makes me sick.

I sent the general email to idaho Mike crapo . He responded saying he is concerned that horses welfare would be in danger without humane slaughter. So he supports humane slaughter but will continue to investigate these bills.
He just kept putting "humane" in front of "slaughter " .
Obviously he isn't informed.
I was disappointed with his response.

Now you’re talking. I adore what you do to save the horses already but to enact real change, there must be legislation. It’s a shame you have to legislate for people to act humanely but so be it. I’m begin you I. Any way I an. I truly mean it. I’ve been trying to be soldier for several years so I volunteer my services.

I want to know what food contains horse meat!
The horses for meat are shipped to Mexico and Canada.
The US doesn’t allow horse meat to be sold to consumers, but people can still buy horses and ship them to Mexico or Canada for slaughter. These horses are not required to pass the FDA restrictions on how long they must be off growth hormones and medications as legal slaughter animals are, and may be sick or injured and still get killed for innocent people to buy as food.
So what Country consumers horse meat. Is this there less costly consumption of protein? There has to be a supply and demand for said horse meat of the slaughter pipeline to be profitable? Could you go to the source and provide another protein source for consumption?
Mexico is one. Several European countries (not Great Britain) still utilize horse meat and I believe the slaughter houses in Canada provide meat to them.
Horse meat is delicacy in Japan...Canada flies live horses to Japan because they want fresh slaughter meat...No humane slaughter in Japan....
Britain finally stopped eatting their race horses.......
It amazes me that the horse slaughter downside is not more understood. Sorry, but do these people live under rocks. Who has been bending their ear about the supposed "good side" of slaughtet! Maybe those people have the money to keep pushing "for" slaughter! These political people are just mouthing word salad. Hope your efforts are allowed to work!! I am usually very optimistic, but anything happening in Washington turns me pessimistic real quick!!
