The Snapper Run - Kahele OC1 Downwinder

We are spoilt for downwind runs here in Western Australia...& today showcases possibly the best run on the Perth coastline - newly called The Snapper Run; Point Peron Rockingham to South Beach Fremantle.
So-called due to the area being renowned for being the Pink Snapper breeding ground - Cockburn Sound.
And for us locals that have known and paddled this run for the last 10+ years (but only on the odd day) it was known as the Garden Island run.
Best in 20++ Knots SW/S/SSW Winds
The fetch from the wind inside Garden Island (RAN Base) creates a gradual increase size in size of the runs - where it can be soooo groomed it’s crazy!!
The last time on this run was nearly 12 months ago - and each time I do it I have the biggest smile on my face !!🤩
