Aw man an old 50's Buick!!! Classy! She's rusty and crusty but has a lot of cool factor! I always enjoy going you going through and seeing the old stuff inside. It's always a treat seeing the old 50's cars.
I'm in the same boat. When I put up my shop I thought it was as big as I would ever need. Ten years later and it could have been twice the size. But I know I would have twice as much junk in it!
Hey bud. 2 things you might want to go back for on that car. The 1st is super easy to take off and it's hard to find. That's the spark plug cover. The 2nd is a little harder to get off, but way more rare. And that is that dual carb setup. Great video, hate for that to go to waste. If you get a chance, go pick those up, it'll be with the effort. $$$
The 1993 to 95 Buick Roadmasters are great too, both the sedan and the station wagon models along with the early 90s Caprice. Usually I don't care that much of the 90s, but those are an exception.
Lol the car sticks out like a sore thumb. Those old cars were built with pride, so much chrome inside & out, so much craftsmanship with the dash/instrument panel, makes this car even better no stupid senseless computer dash/instrument panel as no back up camera.
If there's one thing in common between the Roadmaster and the Lesabre beside it, that would be the waterfall grill. Buick used those grills for decades.
Was a beautiful car in it's day. Think of all of the history that this car has behind it. It is really amazing to know that this was a new car when television was starting to take off. Pre rock and roll, baby boom, suburban sprawl. Was someone's driver during the time Kennedy was assassinated. Hippie era, man landing on the moon, turn of a new century, 9/11. In the trunk is a treasure trove of the past. You would almost believe that products were proudly built in the USA at one time. Very sad to see this car just waiting to be crushed only to end up being lost forever.
it would take alot of work but it could be saved and i'd be willing to bet that str8 8 with a little work would still run as for those center emblems for the steering column myself i would have been tempted to get em and try polishing them up they would be worth a pretty penny on ebay as with the gauges :-)...... unfortunately here in ohio the pullaparts clean the cars out when they come in i've never found anything in them worth anything they sell tools ect left in them :-(((
If this car still has the transmission it’s highly valuable, I noticed it has P for park which would make it (I think) either a 4 or 5 spd automatic ... and for 1951 not many of those were made ... would be well worth something in parts or for keeps or whatever for someone
Whoa Nelley, a Roadmaster, and not going any faster. GTE/Sylvania I believe became "Osram Sylvania" and at one time was headquartered in NH I believe. Good lighting, and available everywhere. Nope, I have the same stands, branded as KMart/Kresge and they are USA made. My dad bought them probably in the early 1970s. I believe TruCut made them for the various retailers. We got the tag (barely), we can brag: 1951 model year as shown, BK is Kansas City, MO assembly, style number of 51 is 1951 model year, looks like 4719 which should denote a four door Roadmaster, trim of 72 should be Dark Blue Broadcloth, paint of 05 should be Barton Gray (a light blue/gray/green like is still visible at the bottom of the right doors). Looks like about 48,758 of them were made in 1951. No VIN, we do not win, but I got it figured out, no doubt: 4 for Kansas City, MO assembly and the production sequence will start with 6061001 for the KC plant. Whoa Nelley, hot rod with a dual carb. Done in 1981. That it, time to quit. Going to be flat, that's that. Buick Roadmaster and now a big disaster. Was once a cruiser, now it's a loser. Off the road and now it's a toad. Was nifty in the 50's. Going to be squished and we're kinda pissed.
Man grab both of those intakes! The one in the car is for a 4bbl, and the dual carb one on the motor was 2 or 3 years only in the 40s.. Both desirable and hard to find. If the 4bbl carb is there I'd grab it too, the 2bbls were not selling for a lot when I had some, but I'd check the tags for the numbers and look again. The whole motor is worth something I think, I would check but 51-52 seems like have insert bearings and it's the bigger straight eight (320) - the older ones are babbit bearings. Even just the loose water pump, fuel pump etc have value as cores. Grille is worth some money, the side swoop stainless, the taillights would sell at a swap especially if you can saw them off with some of the fender. Steering wheel is not too bad, probably $100-ish just for the good horn ring. The peep mirror would sell. I mean with some time there's probably $1500 in profit picking that to death. I don't think it weighs any more than a V8, just long so it would overbalance the engine stand.

that grill is hot......back when cars had some cool styling ........i love that era of cars.....thanks brother
Thats a first!! Old old old....................fun to see this Buick.
Cool old Roadmaster, don't see many of those any more..............👍👍👍👍
Wow, what a time capsule of vintage products! Hope you were able to take some! Even if it's a 4 door, it gives me Cuba vibes lol
I missed your question on the radios in the live stream. I'll show them next time
@@ClassicRideSociety Awesome! I can't wait Benny! ^-^
I can only imagine how good that car looked on her delivery day, and how happy someone was to pick her up from the Buick dealership.
She was a looker 👍
Benny I love that Roadmaster its wonderful. I wish I had room at my house to restore it !
Unfortunately this one is gonna be parts only
I'm in the same boat. When I put up my shop I thought it was as big as I would ever need. Ten years later and it could have been twice the size. But I know I would have twice as much junk in it!

My brother had a roadmaster wagon . great riding cars
@@ClassicRideSociety For sure, for sure
Dule carb intake it would be very wise for you to buy that set up that bizz is worth some bank for sure that is a factory set up .
Rusted and still looks sexy. And you're right about the 4 Fender ports. 3 is a special 4 is a Roadmaster
Lol the car sticks out like a sore thumb. Those old cars were built with pride, so much chrome inside & out, so much craftsmanship with the dash/instrument panel, makes this car even better no stupid senseless computer dash/instrument panel as no back up camera.
I might be wrong but I think that duel carb intake is worth taking
If there's one thing in common between the Roadmaster and the Lesabre beside it, that would be the waterfall grill. Buick used those grills for decades.
I bet them rear corner windows are hard as hell to find and worth some coin.
R I P, Roadmaster.
The Cold War motors channel just got a old Buick like this running after sitting in a field fog declares
You're right buddy it's a 4-hole the high-end Buick
Someone somewhere is dying for that stainless !!
Nice old Buick. Too bad someone gave up on it.
I need a part off of this car for my 51 Buick special

great video I love 4 doors nothing like 50s buick take care!
My fathers first car was a 1954 Buick Super.
Great motor for a hot rod or a rat rod
No upc means pre 1978 packaging.
I'm thinking someone was using it as a parts car. Got what they needed and junked it!
Buy every one of them carbs that are still good though if the price is cheep enough . make some cash on them and keep them in circulation
Judging by the color scheme, I bet she was a real pretty car when new. A long and dreary ending for her. R.I.P.
Them ash trays would be an easy sell look to be in good cond .
it would take alot of work but it could be saved and i'd be willing to bet that str8 8 with a little work would still run as for those center emblems for the steering column myself i would have been tempted to get em and try polishing them up they would be worth a pretty penny on ebay as with the gauges :-)...... unfortunately here in ohio the pullaparts clean the cars out when they come in i've never found anything in them worth anything they sell tools ect left in them :-(((

Dynaflow is two speed.
That car was new at the birth of Rock n Roll Elvis Presley was a young man!
I need the brake line junction box it’s the fittings that comes off of the brake master cylinder and splits all the brakes
Door Ease hasn't been made since the late 1980's. I renumber seeing this at K-mart Auto center back in the late 1980's

Clock in them are worth some money I've made some good cash off 40-60s car clocks easy sell.
Fireball straight eight? Cid?
The oil bath air cleaner set up is gone. Can you find out what they want for that intake set up at least
lot nicer than there current cross over models that look like a big turd!!!! old Buick had style
Another one bites the dust 😓

Benny, this one is cool as hell! Not something you see every day....
Would be interesting to see how she came out if she was glass beaded.. or walnut
Damn, a straight-8 Buick....quite rare indeed nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if the motor was still good
Poor car😱 she is so cool🤩😎
👍
The underneath looks like a 10 year old car up in Illinois lol
Car probably sat inside a barn for years and the people died, the kids sold off everything and it wound up there.
Is she for sale and where is she
Parts only. Byot in Bryan TX
A lot of men dam near killed back in the days from them tripod jack stands most unsafe thing ever sold.
That car wouldn’t look out of place at your shop 😃
Best cop that motor man
it is next to a Buick lol
your right it looks like a failed restoration attempt all the extra parts
The split windshield ended in 1949.
That’s why they moved to the modern pull tabs 🤨🧐
I'm dead serious about it
Man what a difference ! lol
My name is Terry and I am looking for a late 60s Chevy van g10 for parts if you know of 1 let me know
Haven't seen one in the yards lately. But if i do, you'll see it one of my videos
@@ClassicRideSociety thanks for the text back looking forward to seeing a van on here
