TMK film to celebrate David Bowie's Birthday and remember Mick's amazing talent. The closest we'll sadly get to the two working together is Mick's gorgeous rendition of one of his hero's greatest songs.

Brilliant video!! 2 amazing musicians, all I can hear is Mick Karn’s amazing bass lines… so sad Mick Karn and David Bowie are gone… May they both R.I.P. sadly missed, but never forgotten… the heavens will shine brighter with 2 exceptional musicians, along with many other’s.🙏🙏🌟💐💕💕🎶🎸 luv always LA 97🇨🇦
David and Mick... My heroes! This is an amazing version
The rest is silence.
David Bowie 1947-2016
Magnificent. R.I.P., dear dudes. I miss you!
Heroes of my youth. Miss you, fly high friends!!!
Ashes to ashes Stupenda!!! versione dall’ incomparabile mick ❤
Vero, versione da brividi
Both jamming in heaven
I just found this by coincidence!!!... How sad that two years & two days later after this had been "uploaded" the GREAT MASTER left our planet and not only that but this was Mick Karn's tribute to his own HERO and to add more IRONIES to the story they BOTH passed away from "cancer" and BOTH in the month of January ( with only a 5 year difference )!!!... Another fact was how much David Sylvian fucking MODELED himself after Bowie, an EPIC thing since Japan has always been one of my TOP bands since 1979 at the age of 10!!!... I mean it just keeps undeniably PROVING that Bowie really was many of these 80's bands' MUSICAL FATHER!!!....
Also Roxy Music - Brian Ferry, Brian ENO, Andy McKay
ABSOLUTELY fantastic cover...LOVE it and much missed Mick
I miss you Mick
Happy 70th Birthday my ADORED STARMAN!!!... ***January 8th 2017***
Karn, Sylvian (Japan) and Bowie (and Bauhaus!) and The Simple Minds, and the whole european New Wave... trait d'union that our generation used to know very well, even now - thinking 'bout who is still on earth, I mean...
Je préfère l’original mais j’aime beaucoup Mick Karn.Une version totalement différente est toujours intéressante.
Wow! Simply astounding!
This is magnificent, great, wonderfull, you can't get it better than this
❤️
ボウイの曲の中で一番ベースが生きてて奇妙な衣装、風景、物語と惹かれていた。まさかベースがミック・カーンだとは…
This is Mick’s version of the song.😊
Let me share.
Definitely!👏👏👏

Im a bit addled? This wasnt recorded after bowie died cos mick waz already dead (god rest em both). It must have been recorded years earlier?
This was recorded by Mick as part of a covers tribute album. It was one of his last completed works, aside from Dalis Car, as far as I know.
Obrigado! I get it. The tribute album was released while bowie was still alive. Thats sensible.
@@abdallateefschannel6206 It's incredible they have both gone, I never imagined Bowie could leave us, not ever some how I thought he of all people was immortal. I guess they created so much beauty that will never die, that's a huge comfort. Hugs and thanks for your kind comments xx
Exciting opportunity to own one of Mick's own guitars:

I'd probably prefer if Mick Karn was David Sylvain. But that would never of happened.
