My solve actually got me to the same area though, but a totally different way. I was looking at choirs in the valleys and the only one that was "named after" something was timpanogos chorale. They're directly West of the G/battle Creek.
Lol, actually it's directly west of Grove Creek, but apparently I didn't draw my line straight!! Haha It doesn't work as well on phones as laptops. But honestly I just did on my phone again! So it's just a super dumb mistake.
@@mrbrian87 that’s why I think both parts of the solve were necessary. The line gives you an infinite number of intersecting points but following the shadows shows you how to get to the right place on that line
Also I think I failed to answer another part of your question: you take the line up through the Escalante Marker in Provo. Mahogany is really the first thing it intersects once you hit the mountains. Could also be that was just a giant coincidence
I am going to have to disgree with your interpretation. But whatever. I lived in Utah county for years and many of my family still do. Sorry, don't agree with the Provo Temple stuffs.
I didn't know there was an escalante monument in Provo. But I did visit the one in Spanish Fork at main Street and center street.

I followed you up until the lone tree but what was it in the poem that told you to go way north to grove creek?
@@mrbrian87 both the lighthouse shadow and the lighthouse being at the 400/800 intersection. Grove is trail 48

That’s fair. It turned out it wasn’t right obviously so there’s that. Still crazy how that still would get you to the right spot
