I understand what your trying to do, Altho chemical solvent works, isn't the most piratical approach for recycling. Grinding the polystyrene into a fine consistency and applying mild heat and pressure you can reform into a block into a structure, without adding solvents and creating a napalm fire hazard. sculpting the block into a boat or kayak for example, utilizing 10 layers of latex paint and woven fiberglass/resign you can create a very lightweight and strong water craft. At very minimal cost the only other practical use is for this polystyrene is sculpting and add fiberglass. because the water proof and lightweight nature

I understand your comment. We perform the process only in our factory. We are triying to look for another more environmentally sound proces. But there are hughe amounts of this material to be used in "Kayaks". See this link 1drv.ms/u/s!ArsgsgFr_2mzml0hcXkvIrltr4m_?e=Bc5gc5

@@calderon4128 Actually we have pile of PU foam (various density) & PU discs which we are looking to recycle.
But unfortunately our attempts aren't fruitful. Now again we are looking for new methodologies to do it again

@@jorelldye4346 We use a middle distillate from 180 °C to 240 °C obtained in the process of distillation of the pyrolitic oil from a mixture of plastics (Polystryrene 25 % Poliethilene 50 % Polypropylene 25 ) sometimes called REDUPOR. But this is a local name only.
