That was super interesting Rob. The Rufus stone story makes you wonder what really happened. Loved the shadows on the ground in that clip. Thank you for sharing.
Tx for watching this one too Becca, much appreciated. The Rufus Stone is probably in the wrong place, according to the latest thinking. Not sure where it should be, though (or how anyone could know). It's interesting for me particularly, because after William Rufus was killed his brother Henry became king as Henry 1st. I can trace my family tree back to Henry 1st (via at least 2 bastards) :) We are off to Costa Rica soon so I will have some tropical wildlife to film. All the best, Rob
Hi Rob, beautiful shadow of the tree, at Rufus stone, and so cute deer family . A really good topic, here , and The heritage center looks very interesting . Indeed, many things to do . 🧡🧡🧡
Tx TNAL, much appreciated. Free things are always welcome, aren't they! Tx for watching the vid and taking the time to comment, much appreciated :) best wishes, Rob
Very beautiful area and great tip about the crabs yes they wouldn't make it. Loved the children's activity area and ponies. So sweet. Yes feeding the animals wouldn't be good. I hope you have been doing well 🙂
Tx Nicole, I'm pleased you found the vid interesting. Funnily enough, I opened your latest vid this morning, to watch this evening (I've just watched it). I wonder if that's why this vid popped up in your stream? Google/UA-cam is frighteningly clever :) All the best, Rob
I will keep this movie in mind if I ever get to the New Forest - not all things in life have to cost money and these things seem quite agreeable and nice to experience. For me I think just the experience of walking in a nice green lush forest will be worth the trip as the New Forest is quite a place! By the way - youtube shows the chapters in French for some reason:-) Regards, Ant
Hi Ant, I'm please you found it interesting. You must have plenty of daylight at the moment to go for walks outdoors! I added the video text in English and French, in the hope that UA-cam might find some French viewers for the video (I don't think they have... ) So the sections in the video were picked up from the French version not the English version. I have since deleted the French text! Tx for pointing that out. All the best, Rob
@@TheCountryTraveller Plenty of daylight is an understatement as there is no dusk at all in the night! So when the weather is good it is quite amazing! The funny thing about youtube is that suddenly your movie might be embedded on a foreign page and then you have traffic, so you should keep your translations:) I have one movie that draws 5-6 viewers a day from a German cruise page. And in a year it adds up:)
@@ArcticNatureExperiences Tx for that Ant. Perhaps I'll try translating the first paragraph into different languages, rather than the chapters next time! When I say 'translate', I do, of course, mean 'use Google Translate' :)
Good video Rob especially for families , a real mix of things. Loved the rhyme at the start ! Great to see deer and go crabbing too, our kids loved that . Think my 1st visit would definitely be the Rufus Stone and the Heritage Centre and always good to see ponies. Thanks for that ~ Anna
Hi Anna, Tx for this, I'm pleased you enjoyed it. Free things are always welcome, aren't they! And you noticed my 'ad hoc' rhyme, which was an accident but I left it in :) tx for watching. All the best, Rob
