In Lebanon last week, mass explosions of pagers and walkie-talkies belonging to members of the Iran-back Shiite group Hezbollah. The attack has been widely attributed to Israel’s intelligence organization Mossad, leading to the deaths of dozens of people and wounding thousands."

Each Israeli receives $5,000 US per month to vacation during this time. They all joke that the US has paid for their vacation. Non of them want to come home as they are living like kings on the Thai islands.

I was surprised that when the media first reported it, they just said "pager attack" and never used the phrase "terrorist attack." I am glad someone finally says it.

I can't believe a former CIA director is the voice of reason in any situation. But this is the world Israel brought us to
Panetta has been good since Obama's term, maybe Clinton's too.
We've seen since the inception of Israel that the world has been pretty united in the UN in their stance on the conflict between Israel and the other countries in the Middle East. The only time there has been dissent is when there has been a UN resolution to criticize Israel in any way because then Israel with the support of USA and only USA have vetoed the resolution.
We still haven't seen US officials show any weakened support for Israel, but if that should happen Israel is in real trouble. Since US support for Israel - even when they have committed terrible deeds in the past - has been 100% steadfast this has led Israel to worsen it's atrocious behavior against it's neighbors knowing USA will bail them out no matter what. If that support is removed even once I think we would see a completely changed situation in the Middle East.

What Panetta was trying to convey can be understood with a simple analogy.
if you ever wondered why a counterfeiter could get more prison time than an armed robber, it is very simple.
The counterfeiter undermines the confidence in the entire financial system.
The armed robber can only rob so much.
Likewise, israel has just ushered in a new "low" in civilized warfare. It either gets condemned or it gets duplicated, sanctioned and repeated. In other words, it becomes fair game and everyone will think twice about electronics.
Penneta is wise on this topic because we truly don't know how far this can go. Will food be poisoned? How about livestock? It may sound "ridiculous" right now because Israel did not think it through.
They are just frustrated and going scorched earth.
The countries not involved in this particular conflict must step in as the objective parties and draw some lines in the soil about what is and what is not going to be permitted.

Exactly, that's the point at the end of the video. Panetta is calling this out on behalf of corporations and the economy. Russia invaded ukraine. Russia has lots of oil. That made inflation spike the last couple years. Russia has a lot of oil, but not nearly as much as the middle east. Imagine what an all out war in the middle east would do to inflation and the price of everything we buy?
