- Hey folks! I'm excited to share with you this animatic I've been working on in the background for the past couple months. The Stolen Turnabout is easily my favorite filler case in the Ace Attorney series, and I thought this song would be perfect for it!

The best part is I can totally imagine Maya yelling "your accusation is far out, man" after her billionth murder accusation.

I love the idea that after interrogating the obvious suspects (Ron, Desiree, and Luke), Gumshoe and Godot just default to questioning literally everyone they know to try and get a lead

I love how for his interrogation Apollo just screams. It gives the same effect of small animal trying to be intimidating despite being the least intimidating thing possible. Like when a Red Panda raises it's arms as a defense mechanism.
Also Athena and Simon showing up making duck noises gave me whiplash

He's like 16 at the time of 3-1, of course he's just screwing with everyone (especially Kristoph). Same goes for Simon and Athena.

Am I the only one who absolutely LOVES the voice of Gonzo for Luke Atmey? Plus Luke being the “purple guy with the shnoz” is absolutely perfect!
Lots of people seem to think Gonzo fits Atmey, and I totally agree!

Honestly, I'd think that Godot's and Gumshoe's roles would be reversed. Godot just seems like the more likely one out of the two to make the pig puns.
That's a fair perspective! I picked the roles I did because I felt that the Godot's lines should be the more intelligent and done-with-this-crap ones (Sam Eagle) and Gumshoe should have less intelligent and silly ones (Ty Burrel) but I welcome different opinions :D

This is so brilliantly well done!
I even love the extra little details about how Apollo is a student, and Athena is still a little girl because she would be that age at the time of Trials and Tribulations
And I know apollo has the outfit in a photo in Dual Destinies, but it’s his cosmetic outfit in Spirit of Justice (in the American version)
I'm sure someone else probably has already mentioned it, but I thought I'd just say I really like the fact that for the characters who don't get encountered until later on in the time line (Apollo, Athena, Klavier etc.) that you made them look how they would at the time this case takes place. For instance, Apollo in his school uniform and Simon looking like he did before his prison sentence. An obvious thing, I know, but a really nice thing I thought I'd say I really appreciate. Thanks again for all your hard work! :)

Where to start on his masterpiece? It's just utter genius, the shadow over Ron DeLite that is the Mask*demasque mask when Gumshoe stares over him

There’s something poetic about GUMSHOE of all people thinking that they’re too stupid to have done it.
As pointed out by literally everyone else, the casting is excellent, and the animatic itself is rather expressive.
But short Godot looks adorable.

Dang this is so gooood. First the concept of this crossover is genius. Second the casting is so on point it’s insane. Thirdly the expressions are so diverse and expressive it really makes you feel they’re singing. Overall just a spectacularly fun treat!

2:42 Miles and Franziska were somewhere in Europe during this episode, so I like to think that Godot listed them as suspects and made poor Gumshoe drag them here just for fun. And now Miles is trying to stop his sister from murder and at the same time politely explain to the detective why they shouldn't be here in the first place.
Loved the Apollo screaming part. And the Gyaxa siblings being ducks (?). AND Gavin siblings that one was awesome too.
These match ups are surprisingly good. For some reason Luke and Gonzo just fits

2. I agree with the height choices made for Godot and Gumshoe here. But, out of curiosity I looked up their heights and apparently Godot is 6'1" but Gumshoe is only 6'0"??? They don't have that vibe to them at all.

Even less sense is Mike Meekins, who is 6'5. That makes him the tallest character we've met at the time of his introduction and taller than Gumshoe, two action film stars, amd the chief of police.

I know I’m late to the conversation (by 7 months as I type this) but I really need to let you know how much I love this. Each character is perfectly matched; I love Gonzo as Luke Atmey, it is exactly how I imagined his voice and the way that this just has everyone refer to Adrian Andrews as a chicken without even batting an eye is amazing and hilarious.
Phoenix not knowing anything and being completely out of the loop is exactly his character, THE COMPLETE ACCURACY AND 100% REALITY WHICH IS MAYA WITH THAT VOICE, the Von Karma siblings being perfect (no pun intended), and Larry being completely somewhere else was brilliant!
This is all fantastic and it is definitely my favourite Ace Attorney animation, thank you so much for this
P.s. the animation was also really impressive and you managed to perfectly balance the character animations from the games when they were there and just how characters would move according to their in game personalities and voices in the song. I’m running out of ways to say how much I love this so I’ll just leave it at this.
